Don't think we'll stuff them like last year but this is a lucky fixture to have when we're looking to get back in the groove. John Polley

Hi I'm a spurs fan. Going 2-1 to spurs today. Feel spurs could scores more goals but they lack firepower up front . Hopefully will be improved upon in january transfer window. Haven't been impressed with dempsey yet been below par and playing poor. Hopefully spurs don't concede in the last 5 mins . They have a bad habit of doing that. Matt Lavantine

Feel free to e-mail your thoughts or predictions to devin.hermanus@teamtalkmedia.com and we'll publish as many of them before - and during - the game as possible.

Unfortunately, midfielder Jake Livermore misses out after he picked up an ankle injury.

The Latics, meanwhile, suffered a massive blow to their morale after also being dumped out of the League Cup by Bradford City on Tuesday. This, after a hard-fought 2-1 win over West Ham last weekend boosted their flagging fortunes.

An inconsistent Spurs will hope for a return to winning ways were knocked out of the Capital One Cup by Norwich on Wednesday night. The midweek disappointment came just days after a narrow 2-1 win for the capital club over Southampton in their last league encounter.
