Joe Dunne hopes to extend his honeymoon period as Colchester boss when the U's tackle Coventry on Tuesday night, but he looks set to again be without his captain Kem Izzet.

Izzet is back in training after six weeks out with a hip injury but the match against the Sky Blues could come too soon for him.

The U's have no new injury problems, with loan signing John Sullivan expected to keep his place between the sticks. Josh Thompson is also pressing for a start.

Boss Dunne has enjoyed a dream start in the United hotseat, with Saturday's victory over Bury taking the club's impressive points tally to 19 from their last 10 fixtures.

Belgian midfielder Franck Moussa hopes to retain his starting spot for Coventry.

The former Southend player was recalled by manager Mark Robins for the trip to rock-bottom Hartlepool and scored his first league goal of the season as the Sky Blues romped to a 5-0 win.

Carl Baker bagged a brace at Victoria Park and will keep his midfield spot, while David McGoldrick will carry on up front.

Striker Stephen Elliott (toe) and midfielders Conor Thomas (ankle) and David Bell (hip), who is back in light training, continue to miss out.
