Carl Dickinson (r): Recalled by Watford

Portsmouth are without Carl Dickinson after he was recalled by parent club Watford.

The defender picked up his fifth booking of the season in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Doncaster and is suspended for what would have been the final match of his loan spell. Defender Ricardo Rocha has returned to Portsmouth on a one-month deal and he is in the squad.

However, West Brom loanee Scott Allan returns from a three-match ban to boost freefalling Pompey, who have lost their last six matches.

Gabor Gyepes shrugged off an illness to face Rovers and is set to continue in defence, while midfielder Akos Buzsaky has been struggling with a hamstring complaint and may return.

Paul Benson made his debut against Dean Saunders' side following his loan move from Swindon and, despite Pompey going through their fifth game without a goal, is expected to partner Izale McLeod again up front.

Jimmy Smith could be handed a starting role for Leyton Orient.

The midfielder picked up a knock in the FA Cup first-round win over minnows Gloucester and was a doubt for Saturday's game with Carlisle.

However, Smith came on as a substitute and may be promoted to the starting XI if boss Russell Slade decides to change a winning team.

Midfielder Moses Odubajo shrugged off a groin problem to start at the weekend and is expected to retain his place, while in-form David Mooney netted twice in the impressive 4-1 win and should start up front with Kevin Lisbie again.

Orient are still without back-up goalkeeper Lee Butcher, who is a long-term absentee with a knee injury.
