John Mousinho: Misses out for Preston

Preston continue to be without captain John Mousinho.

The midfielder has only made one appearance in the last month following a bout of mumps and will continue to miss out, despite a return to training, with John Welsh retaining the armband.

Injured centre-back Shane Cansdell-Sheriff has also returned to training, but will not face the Magpies, stretching his run on the sidelines to four games.

Paul Huntington returned from suspension to partner Chris Robertson in the heart of manager Graham Westley's defence in the 1-1 draw with Brentford on Saturday, and will keep his place in the side as Cansdell-Sheriff continues his recovery.

Anthony Elding made his Preston debut on loan from Grimsby as a substitute against the Bees, and will push for a starting place along with left-back David Buchanan, who was made to settle for a second successive appearance from the bench following a knee injury.

Meanwhile, Long-term absentee Lee Trundle is back in training on his return from a knee problem.

Notts County will assess the fitness of Jamal Campbell-Ryce.

The winger was forced off with an injury just after the half-hour mark during the 2-2 draw at Scunthorpe on Saturday.

Julian Kelly and Carl Regan are making good progress with their recovery from hamstring and foot injuries respectively but both players remain doubts.

Fellow defenders Manny Smith (knee) and Jordan Stewart (hamstring) and goalkeeper Fabian Spiess (knee) remain unavailable, with Smith a long-term absentee.

Forwards Enoch Showunmi, Francois Zoko and Yoann Arquin, who replaced Campbell-Ryce at Glanford Park, and midfielders Gavin Mahon, Joss Labadie and Hamza Bencherif are options for manager Keith Curle should he wish to make any changes to his starting line-up.

County travel to Deepdale looking to stretch their club-record run of away league matches without defeat to 19 games.
