Cuthbert: Has recovered from injury

Orient will be without Michael Symes for the visit of the Iron.

The striker suffered a hamstring injury shortly after coming on as a substitute during last weekend's 2-0 win at Bury.

Skipper Nathan Clarke remains on the sidelines after suffering an injury setback this week.

The defender had a scan on the foot injury he picked up against Portsmouth last month which has revealed a hairline fracture, meaning he will be out for up to another five weeks.

Fellow centre-half Scott Cuthbert is pushing to make his first league appearance in over three months after a hamstring injury.

Striker Kevin Lisbie scored both goals at Bury despite a stomach bug, and he should start up front again as the O's look for their ninth straight win.

The visitors could have striker Nathan Ellington available for the trip to the capital.

The experienced 31-year-old was ruled out of last weekend's home defeat to Bournemouth with a calf injury, but he has now returned to training and is likely to be involved.

However, midfielder Josh Walker will not play again this year after suffering an ankle ligament injury ahead of the Cherries game.

Brian Laws will at least have Paul Reid back in contention following the completion of his three-match ban, though David Mirfin (knee) is still out.

Laws, whose side are without a win in four league games, bemoaned their injury woes.

"You find that when you're at the bottom part of the league you do tend to pick up injuries and they are a lot longer than normal," he told the club's official website.

"Whereas when you're at the top end you hardly have any injuries, and that's why they're at the top.

"It's a frustrating time, because we're frustrated on the pitch as well, and both coincide."
