FT: QPR 1 West Brom 2

QPR 1 West Brom 2. All over at Loftus Road and it is the visitors who take the spoils. Another setback for QPR, while West Brom march on.

Olsson struggling, not good news for West Brom. Hoilett able to force a corner. Surely this is it? Taarabt goes shot to Hoilett, whose shot deflects behind. Another short one to Hoilett. His cross towards Ferdinand is put behind by McAuley. Taarabt again, but West Brom clear.

Fine block from Tamas to deny Hoilett. Last chance for QPR to get something. SWP wastes a throw and West Brom look to counter. Green able to punt long again, but he can't find a team-mate.

Taarabt over his 11th corner. Cisse is lurking, but can't get a touch. He claims he was tugged, but play goes on. Ferdinand goes long, but McAuley stands tall and heads clear.

Traore happy to punt the ball high and long. QPR are able to win a corner. Is there a final twist in the tail for the hosts?

Massive hand-ball shout against Ridgewell. He has his hands up as he tries to cut out a cross towards Mbia. He's a lucky boy. From the corner, Diakite is picked out, but fires across goal and wide.

Mulumbu down and requires treatment, as we enter five minutes of stoppage-time. Having seen Foster's 'save' again, it appears as though it was Mulumbu who hacked off the line.

So close for QPR. Brilliant save from Foster. West Brom, still in front, trying to head for the corner flags. They don't make it and QPR push forward again.

SWP with space on the right. His cross is cut out by Gera, who got close enough to block. Taarabt over the set-piece. His delivery finds the head of Hill. He thinks he has scored, but Foster pulls off a remarkable one-handed save.

Tamas concedes a throw deep inside his own half. Traore makes a mess of things and ends up presenting the ball back to the Baggies.

Redknapp and his coaching staff on their feet barking out instructions. Can QPR create one more opportunity? West Brom now looking to sit and play on the counter.

Morrison trudges off, slowly. Tamas is sent on in his place. All three changes now made by the Baggies.

Ridgewell taking as long as possible with a throw. West Brom then pick out Morrison, who threads the ball into Fortune. He rolls the ball under Green, but the flag has gone up for offside. Tight one, but the right call.

Mbia cautioned as he chases back after Long and hacks him down from behind. He also had a hold of his shirt, so can have no complaints.

SWP prepaed to track back again. His pass towards Cisse is cut out, though, and QPR can't counter. When they do make their way forward, Mackie forces over a cross which has West Brom troubled for a moment.

QPR take the free-kick quickly. Mbia does whip the ball into the box at the second attempt, and McAuley nods behind for a corner. Mbia, rising through a crowd of players, can't direct his header on target.

Mulumbu forward to Fortune, but he can't get past Traore. QPR looking for a way out, and find one down their left. Mulumbu then fouls Diakite. Chance to push the big men forward.

Yet another corner to West Brom. Morrison tries again, but his delivery to the near post is not the best and trickles behind. SWP leads a QPR attack, but fires into the side-netting when trying to cross. Bit of a waste.

Another corner to West Brom. Brunt whips the ball into the heart of the six-yard box. Green does well to get a finger to the ball and put it behind again. Morrison over the latest set-piece, which SWP can clear. Chris Foy then slips, much to the amusement of the crowd.

Long, only just on the field, is hobbling. West Brom have a corner, so he will play on. The Baggies taking their time again. Morrison eventually delivers, but the ball skids through the area and out on the far side.

Brunt swings a delivery from wide on the left into the QPR box. Green prepared to come and gather from above Long's head. Morrison soon back in possession, but can't find Gera.

Lukaku's final involvement as he is hauled off and replaced by Long - another striker who will run himself into the ground for the good of the collective cause.

Diakite flying forward and sticks out a leg, which catches Jones. He goes down, free-kick given. Home support not happy with the decision, or how long it takes Foster to take the free-kick. Lukaku can't get the ball out of his feet when picked out inside the box with his back to goal.

Lukaku prepared to chase down the channels, but he has no chance of collecting a Fortune flick. West Brom looking to peg QPR back, but a long ball from Traore has them facing their own goal again.

Movement on the Baggies bench. Clarke looking to freshen things up and see this out. QPR look full of life again. Cisse unable to find a way through McAuley on this occasion.

QPR now looking to throw more men forward. West Brom suddenly being forced to dig a little deeper than they had hoped. Gera prepared to do his bit as he dives into a tackle on SWP.

West Brom getting sloppy, and nervy. They present the ball to Taarabt. He has no support and five to beat, so decides to pull the trigger from distance. His low drive is straight down the throat of Foster.

West Brom now prepared to slow things down. Jones in no rush to take a throw. They realise that QPR feel there is still all to play for here.

QPR lifted, with the noise levels inside Loftus Road rising. Mackie surging forward again and testing Foster with a shot which skips up off the surface.

GOAL QPR - CISSE. Fine through-ball from Mbia to Cisse. He keeps his composure with Foster racing out to meet him and dinks the ball into the back of the net. Game on!

Hoilett drifting in off the left flank, but West Brom have numbers back. Traore then tries his luck down the left, but still no joy. Ferdinand is then found in space, but he decides against a shot from 35 yards and can't pick out SWP with a pass wide.

Morrison takes the corner. Green comes and punches. Diakite complates the clearance. Mulumbu lobs the ball back into the box, where Mulumbu is offside and can't make contact anyway.

Hoilett involved immediately, as he combines with Taarabt. He is able to thread a low cross towards the edge of the box, but there is no-one there for QPR. Lukaku is then sprung clear, but Green blocks his shot from a tight angle with his feet. Corner.

Green comes right to the edge of his area to punch clear. SWP, who has been moved to the right, can't keep the ball in play as he wanders forward. Fabio only just making his way to the bench after going off on the opposite side of the field.

Double change for QPR as Fabio and Faurlin are replaced by Hoilett and Diakite. Change of approach from the hosts.

Faurlin fouls Lukaku. West Brom send the free-kick wide, rather than into the box. Ridgewell is bundled over, but is waved back to his feet and awarded a throw. QPR are then able to clear their lines.

Redknapp planning changes. Can he find two goals from somewhere? He does have the likes of Granero, Dyer and Hoilett on the bench. Meanwhile, Mackie charges forward, but sees a shot blocked by Ridgewell. Powerful, direct running from the QPR forward.

Mbia with a straight pass down the middle, which hits McAuley on the heel. QPR try again and SWP wins a free-kick, which Traore takes quickly. Jones tracks SWP into the box and puts in a timely challenge.

Traore's cross from the left is cut out by Jones, but only half-cleared. QPR work the ball to Fabio, 20 yards from goal. He catches a shot on the half-volley, but skews his effort into the stands.

Lukaku should have made it three, but is denied by a brave block from Green diving at his feet. The West Brom striker then fails to throw himself at a driven cross which fizzes across the face of goal. At the other end, a Mackie cross from the right can't find a hooped shirt.

Cisse collides with Olsson. QPR keen to get on with things. They go long down the line for Fabio to chase. Foster alive to the danger and trots off his line to gather.

SWP has two defenders for company, but forces his way to the dead-ball line and wins a corner. Taarabt tries again. This time his delivery is better, but straight into the hands of Foster.

Nice from Ridgewell as he sells a dummy to Mackie before firing long downfield. Ironic cheers from the away supporters as Green gathers. He could have done better with the goal, but had a strong case for a free-kick.

Taarabt over another corner for QPR. Yet again his delivery lets him and his side down. The ball is swung away from those in the middle and skids out of the box, Mulumbu wins a free-kick as West Brom edge back towards halfway.

Taarabt trying to produce some magic, but nothing doing for QPR. West Brom go long down their left. Lukaku is quick, but not quick enough. Having seen the goal again, Fortune was the man stood in front of Green and backing in. He got away with one for sure.

Brunt's corner is nodded to safety by Hill. West Brom come again, but the ball runs through to Green. Redknapp slumped in his seat. Not a lot more he can do.

QPR are able to win a free-kick wide on their right. Taarabt rolls it short in to Fabio. He fires across the face of goal, but past everyone. Fortune bundles his way towards the dead-ball line, where SWP has to concede a corner.

Faurlin thinks he has won a free-kick, but gets nothing. Nothing going QPR's way at the moment. Looks like this might be one of those days for Redknapp's men.

GOAL WEST BROM - OWN GOAL GREEN. The ball is nodded up into the air and towards Green's goal. He has a Baggies player in front of him and he ends up palming the ball into his own net. Looked like a foul, but goal given.

Mulumbu shrugs off Faurlin as he drives forward. Jones is then sent racing into the area along the dead-ball line. He tries to cut the ball back, but Ferdinand is in the right place to bundle behind.

Fabio skips around Ridgewell, but sees his cross blocked by Mulumbu. Mbia is then sent sprawling by the Baggies midfielder. Free-kick to QPR wide on their right level with the edge of the box. Taarabt's delivery has to be put behind by Brunt. Mbia is found unmarked, but heads back to Taarabt. Second delivery also finds Mbia, who then nods wide. Should be 1-1.

QPR get penned inside their own box. No room for Lukaku. Mulumbu then finds him with a clever back-heel, but the Baggies striker can only prod the ball straight at Green.

No changes to either side at the interval. Redknapp keeping faith with those he selected at the start. West Brom looking to slip back into their passing stride.

QPR get the second half underway.

The players are back with us and we are ready for the off once more.

Remember you can also bet in-play at Skybet.com. QPR now 6/1 to take the spoils, with West Brom 1/2 and the draw 5/2.

How do you see the second half going? Get your thoughts in to Chris.Burton@bskyb.com or @SkySportsChrisB.

QPR 0 West Brom 1. Brunt's fine effort separates the two sides at the interval. Still all to play for, though, in a keenly-fought contest.

Redknapp watching on, he doesn't look too happy. He has work to do to lift an extra 10 per cent from his troops. West Brom almost make it two moments before half-time. Morrison skips past a challenge and fires narrowly past the upright.

West Brom looking to get into the dressing room with their lead intact. A long ball forward ends up at the feet of Green.

QPR unable to get anything going as we approach the interval. Taarabt trying a bit too much at times. Faurlin, meanwhile, appears to have shaken off his earlier knock and is moving freely again.

Still plenty of effort on show from QPR as we enter the closing stages of the half. Hill too eager to get involved, as he collides with Traore. Morrison gather the loose ball, finds Gera, who fires wide.

Typical hard work from Mackie, as he refuses to give up a long chase to the corner. He forces a mistake from Jones. Corner to QPR. Taarabt takes, Hill rises, but nods wide.

Brunt swings the ball into the box from the set-piece. Green does well to come through the crowd and get a strong hand to the ball. When the ball is returned to the box, Lukaky can't get anything to a floated cross.

Strong header from Lukaku as he glances on. Fortune can't collect as he is caught between two defenders. Taarabt tries to counter, but can't Faurlin still hobbling around. He needs to go off as he concedes a corner.

Faurlin is going to battle on for now, but Diakite has been sent out to warm up. On the field, Traore takes an age with a throw. A few moans and groans in the stands.

Faurlin picked up a knock while putting in a challenge on Lukaku. Physio is on, magic sponge is out. We should be okay to continue shortly.

Mackie claims a foul, with Ridgewell pushing and shoving, but gets nothing. Morrison is allowed to drift forward. He looks right towards Fortune, but his pass skids away for a throw. Faurlin now down holding his leg.

Lukaku and Fortune playing on, despite a team-mate being down. Brunt won the ball really strongly in the air against Faurlin, but took a blow for his troubles. He is soon back on his feet.

Free-kick just right of centre for QPR. Plenty of willing takers as Gera and Cisse debate their recent coming together. Cisse did appear to go down a little easy. Decision given now. Taarabt takes the set-piece, and bends the ball inches past the post with Foster beaten. So close to a leveller.

Taarabt takes the corner, which sails through the box. His delivery from set-pieces has been disappointing so far. Fortune unable to find a way past Hill as he tries to make inroads down the West Brom right. QPR suddenly spring clear with Taarabt, who finds Cisse. He is tripped 20 yards from goal by Gera.

Popov makes way for Ridgewell. Like-for-like at left-back for the Baggies.

Good play from Mackie as he forces his way past Popov and fires over a cross, which has to be put behind. Olsson did well to get in front of Cisse. Popov has gone down and won't be able to continue. He appears to have tweaked a hamstring.

Not what was required from Taarabt as he curls the ball onto the roof of Foster's net. With QPR looking to put pressure on, he allows the Baggies to clear their lines.

SWP full of running again as he chases a back-pass. Foster under all sorts of pressure as he slides to hammer clear in the nick of time. Foster then involved again as he dives low to his left to keep out a well-struck effort from Mbia. Corner to QPR.

West Brom pushing for a second, with QPR rocking. Brunt involved again as he sees the ball forward to Morrison. He allows the ball to bounce, before sending a looping effort into the roof of the net. Green had it covered.

How will QPR respond to falling behind. It has been a difficult season so far and they can't afford to see heads dropping. Redknapp needs to get out and rally his troops.

GOAL WEST BROM - BRUNT. Good build up play from Brunt, allowing Brunt to move into space 25 yards from goal. He allows the ball to drift across his body, before drilling low into the bottom corner. Great strike.

West Brom win a free-kick wide on their right just inside the QPR half. Morrison swings the ball into the box, but can't pick out a red shirt. Clarke takes down a few more notes. The Baggies boss is yet to take to his seat. He's just stood inside the dugout.

Morrison seeing plenty of the ball, and he is pushing well forward. QPR standing firm at the back and keeping the door firmly bolted. They can then spring Taarabt forward, but he is outnumbered after running away from his team-mates.

West Brom prepared to knock the ball around at the back, with QPR sitting off. The Baggies see an attack break down when they try to find Lukaku. QPR's turn to attack, but they too can't get a forward into play in a dangerous area.

Jones now bombing forward for the Baggies. SWP tracks him all the way and puts in a sliding challenge to block an attempted cross. He then gets the decision - a goal kick. Great work from the QPR winger.

Brilliant from SWP as he skips past Jones and Mulumbu. He darts into the box and clips over a cross. Mackie rises, but glances well wide. He should have done much better from on the penalty spot, as he rose unchallenged.

Mbia is able to work a yard of space down the right, and he drills over a loss cross. Cisse appears to handle when the ball breaks his way, but nothing is given. He turns and shoots, straight at Olsson.

Lukaku's lay off to Morrison is spotted early by Ferdinand, and he is able to intercept. Faurling then caught on the ball by Lukaku, but QPR remain in possession. They send Traore scampering down the left flank.

Mulumbu the latest to try his luck from distance, and the latest to fire horribly off target. His effort from a full 30 yards out sails into the top tier of the stand behind Green's goal.

Ferdinand is back with us. West Brom still knocking the ball around, but struggling to break into the final third. They are going long a bit too early and trying to force things when the patient approach doesn't work right away.

Ferdinand hobbles from the field, but he should be okay to continue. Redknapp taking the opportunity to get messages across to his players. We re-start with an uncontested drop ball. Why can't we have proper drop balls anymore?

Jones well forward from full-back. His low cross is hammered clear by Hill. Gera collects again for the Baggies, and dinks the ball forward. Fortune offside. Ferdinand has now gone down and will require treatment. He looked to have turned his ankle.

Morrison wriggling away from his man again. He gets another shot away from distance, but his effort lacks power and Hill can hack to safety. West Brom come again. QPR unable to string anything together in the last few minutes or so.

Another hopeful long ball punted forward. Taarabt this time decides to try and find Cisse early. His ball isn't the worst, but it drifts into the area and Foster is able to come and claim.

Mackie unable to keep a Ferdinand clearance in play. QPR still working really hard when they are not on the ball. West Brom seeing more of it now, but are yet to really threaten.

Free-kick is played short. SWP does really well to force his way past Jones and to the dead-ball line. He is able to wrap his foot around the ball and send over a cross, but the whistle has gone. He was offside when he collected the ball.

West Brom able to knock the ball around with purpose for the first time. Mulumbu then gives it away in trying to find Lukaku. Taarabt leads the QPR charge and is felled by Brunt. Yet another chance to push the big men forward.

Taarabt's delivery is terrible. Mackie gets a touch at the near post but can do nothing with it as he had to stretch to get in front of Lukaku. Mbia then concedes a free-kick. Still a bit scrappy at the moment.

SWP picks up a loose ball, but gets it caught under his feet allowing Mulumbu to put into another full-blooded challenge. Taarabt does well to skip away from tackles and find Fabio wide on the QPR right. His cross deflects behind for a corner.

West Brom break quickly and force the first corner of the afternoon. Brunt over the set-piece. His delivery is aimed towards an umarked Olsson, but he can't connect. QPR clear, but the ball is returned to their box. Green comes to punch, and wins a free-kick.

Great vision from Faurlin, as he goes long from well inside his own half. Cisse has darted away from his man and in behind, but the ball skips off the surface and through to Foster.

Ferdinand with a strong header clear, as Morrison tries to break down the middle. QPR win another free-kick on halfway, with Brunt too strong in the challenge on this occasion. Mbia then wastes possession by spraying a pass straight to Foster.

Taarabt caught after getting rid of the ball. Mulumbu came and clipped his ankles. Opportunity for QPR to load the box. Taarabt over the set-piece, but Olsson is able to nod clear. Not the best delivery.

Fabio with a clear ball into Cisse, who lays it off to Taarabt. He looks to get a shot away, but he scuffs his effort badly and it trickles through the penalty area and out for a throw. Not his best, it's fair to say.

QPR full of energy, pressing high up the field. West Brom forced to go long towards Lukaku, but he has strayed offside. Chance for Green to clear his lines.

Morrison twists ands turns, but can't escape the attention of Fabio. The Baggies midfielder ends up running the ball out of play. He soon has it back, though, and drills an ambitious effort from 25 yards well wide of the target.

Harry Redknapp has just taken to his seat. He was delayed on his way here, but not sure what his excuse is for missing the first couple of minutes. Both of these sides trying to get the ball down onto a slick surface.

First effort of the match, and it's a decent one. West Brom struggle to clear their lines, with Taarabt sniffing around. The ball breaks loose to Mbia 25 yards from goal and he sends a curling effort narrowly wide, with Foster at full stretch.

Underway a bit earlier than planned. Most of the seats that were due to be filled inside the ground have been, so here's hoping we get some Boxing Day entertainment. Early exchanges sees QPR force a couple of throws down their right.

West Brom get us up and running.

The players are now with us so we will have to leave the feedback there for now. There will be further opportunities to have your say at half-time and again at the final whistle.

Tony Holmes is another expecting a close encounter. He says: "Nice to see Redknapp making excuses already for the players he knew he was taking on. Given some of the transfer fees and wages he's laid out for lemons in his past, ironic he should blame Hughes for just that?! Re Today, yes, good to see Ferdinand and Hill playing for QPR, maybe Long and/or Odemwingie will be on after about an hour, run rings round Hill again. But I can see QPR getting something."

Peter Willetts thinks the visitors might just edge this. He says: "As a Baggies fan I would be happy with a draw but with a little fortune I think we could just sneak three points with a narrow 2-1 win. Goals from Lukaku and Brunt. Come on you Baggies."

Players emerging onto fields across the country in time for kick-off. We have players on the pitch here - but they are all still in their tracksuits and being put through their warm-ups. The start here has been pushed back until 3.15 due to traffic problems and the late arrival of the West Brom team bus.

Bill Geddes is another QPR fan concerned that Ryan Nelsen's absence today could be costly. He says: "I can't make it up to London for the match & have just tuned into your site. I first looked at the team list & assumed there was an error. No Ryan Nelsen! Having had a further look I am horrified to find he is unwell and will be replaced with the hopeless Ferdinand. Nelsen supplies about 50% of the spirit in the QPR team. Without him I fear the worst for today."

Liam Ferguson sees the hosts picking up the points. He says: "I think QPR will get their 2nd league win this season, I'll guess at 2-0 to QPR."

For the record, today's referee is Chris Foy.

The weather has taken a turn for the worse and it is now lashing it down. Not the day to be visiting Loftus Road it would seem.

As we have plenty of time to fill before kick-off, keep your thoughts coming in to Chris.Burton@bskyb.com or @SkySportsChrisB.

Having been asked for my opinion on today's game, I will play it very safe - perch myself firmly on the fence - and go for a score draw. Everyone goes home happy! A few goals will do me. I'm not asking for much.

Hayden Clarke is another Baggie hoping for the best. He says: "As a Baggie I am always a bit concerned when starting without Long or Odemwingie. But can see a draw. Boing boing."

Marie-Clair is expecting a tough test for the Baggies, but is confident they can take something. She says: "I've been very impressed with how Harry has taken over at QPR and now I'm beginning to think they could avoid relegation. Despite this, I'm still hoping for an Albion win although I'd be happy with a draw based on current form."

Paul Adams is the first to get in touch this Boxing Day afternoon. He says: "As a QPR fan I am a little alarmed to see that Ryan Nelsen is not in the squad today (he has flu apparently). Anton Ferdinand to replace him at centre back is alarming as he has not been performing well at all! Optimisitc for a 2-1 home victory. Come on u Rs."

West Brom team: Foster, Jones, McAuley, Olsson, Popov, Gera, Mulumbu, Morrison, Brunt, Fortune, Lukaku. Subs: Myhill, Ridgewell, Rosenberg, Long, Dorrans, Odemwingie, Tamas.

QPR team: Green, Fabio, Ferdinand, Hill, Traore, Wright-Phillips, Faurlin, Mbia, Mackie, Taarabt, Cisse. Subs: Cesar, Diakite, Derry, Granero, Hoilett, Ehmer, Dyer.

Kick-off has been pushed back slightly. We will get underway at 3.15pm.

You can also bet in-play throughout the game at Skybet.com. QPR start as slight favourites at 5/4, with West Brom 21/10 and the draw 12/5. You can get 11/2 on Adel Taarabt to net the first goal, or maybe you fancy Romelu Lukaku at 7/1.

Can QPR pick up three much-needed points today, or will the Baggies spoil their Christmas? Who will be the men to keep an eye on? Let me know your thoughts.

Feel free to offer your opinion on today's game by contacting me direct at Chris.Burton@bskyb.com or @SkySportsChrisB.

West Brom got back to winning ways over the weekend, while ending a barren run in front of goal. They sit seventh at present, level on points for fourth-placed Arsenal.

Looking ahead to the game, QPR will be hoping for a Boxing Day boost today as they remain five points adrift of safety. They have lost only one of their last five to offer them hope.

West Brom have arrived at the ground. No word as to whether kick-off will be pushed back.

Traffic chaos in and around the capital - on a day of tube strikes - has seen the West Brom team delayed on their way to the ground. Still hoping to get underway at 3pm.

Welcome to Loftus Road for our coverage of today's Premier League encounter between Queens Park Rangers and West Brom.
