All over and Sunderland win for third successive game at Stadium of Light against Man City.

Another City corner, Hart forward again. Silva takes but Gardner heads clear.

Corner for City - and Joe Hart has come up for it...Silva takes, it comes for Milner on the edge of the box but he fires over.

Lescott playing up front looks for flick on by Mignolet claims it.

Rose is replaced by Phil Bardsley.

Great ball from Colback for McClean to break onto but he fires wide when he could easily have squared it for Sessegnon.

Yaya Toure takes free-kick but Sunderland clear.

Gareth Barry replaces Kolo Toure.

McClean trips Dzeko - chance for City to put this into the box.

Excellent chance for Campbell as Sessegnon battles to the by-line and pulls it back but it is straight at Hart.

City free-kick, Milner curls it into the box but Sunderland head clear - but Yaya Toure plays it back in the box for Aguero, who goes down looking for penalty but nothing given.

Ball comes for Aguero in the box, he looks for the corner but it hits Cuellar and wide.

Great stop from Hart as he is off his line brilliantly to deny Sessegnon after he was played through by Campbell.

Frazier Campbell comes on for Larsson.

Rose latches on to McClean balls, he shoots but it deflects off Fletcher and wide.

Dzeko fires at goal from edge of the box but straight at Mignolet.

New replays now showing Gardner definitely fouled Zabaleta in build-up to Sunderland goal. Should not have stood.

Milner, Yaya Toure and Silva over it - Milner takes but fires over.

Yaya Toure goes for goal which is blocked by Kilgallon - ball comes back for the Ivorian and foul is given for handball against Colback.

Good block from Garcia from Fletcher as the Scot tries one from the edge of the box.

Edin Dzeko comes on replacing Tevez.

Great save from Mignolet as Aguero is sent clear but the Belgian makes an excellent one-handed stop.

Zabaleta makes good run into the box but he can't quite get the ball out of his feet and Mignolet claims it.

Great defending from Sunderland, throwing themselves at Man City shots from Aguero and Milner.

Great defending from Rose, getting back to dispossess Milner and clear.

Kompany barges into McClean - carbon-copy of first yellow, very lucky not to be sent-off.

Tevez goes down in the box, but it was good defending from Colback and Rose.

Great tackle from Rose on Yaya Toure inside the box - City corner. Milner takes but Yaya Toure gives away foul.

Great ball in from McClean and it almost finds Sessegnon but he just can't make contact - really good chance.

Nastasic booked for sliding in on McClean.

Mignolet goes up for easy cross, he drops but no City player is on hand and he recovers it.

Great work from Sessegon as he breaks into box past Nastasic but he pulls his shot just wide.

City were furious for the goal as the thought Zabaleta had been fouled in the build up by Fletcher - looked 50/50.

GOAL - ADAM JOHNSON - Johnson cuts inside Silva, goes for goal from 25-yards, Hart dives over it and it squirms in.

Sunderland win corner off Garcia - Johnson curls it in and Kompany puts it behind, but he is not happy. Larsson will whip this in, but good header away from Nastasic.

Silva takes and Yaya Toure rises but it sails over the bar.

City break through Milner and win corner off Gardner.

Good work from Johnson as he easily beats Zabaleta, he puts cross into the box but that is easy for Kolo Toure to clear.

Silva with first effort of the second-half but it is easily blocked and McClean clears.

Two teams are unchanged as City re-start the match.

Both sides are out.

Thanks again for your feedback - Sunderland fans still hopeful they can get something from today, like Colin Gulliver - who mailed in to say: "I forecast a very difficult match with not much between the two teams. I'm sure our fans will get behind Sunderland and the same result as last season would be our Christmas wish. However I suggest a flutter on both teams to score 1-1."

Goalless but a good half with Sunderland finishing better after bright start from City.

Larsson looks like he is taking this one. after failed efforts from Gardner and Johnson. But the wall does its job and the Swede put the rebound wide.

Real danger for Sunderland, Larsson and Gardner looking at it. Yaya Toure is booked for not backing up.

Great tackle by McClean wins possession, it comes for Sessegnon - he goes down on the edge of the box as Kompany blocks his run into the box. Booking.

Good ball in from Garnder finds head of Sessegnon - he gets a yard on Kompany but guides it over.

Colback is first player booked as he trips Aguero.

Good turn from McClean on the edge of the box, he looks for goal but good clearance from Nastasic - Johnson keeps it in but City clear.

Excellent late challenge from McClean to deny Tevez as he was ready to fire on goal.

Mignolet only just clears his lines with Aguero breathing down his neck.

Great clearance from Kompany as Larsson fires ball into six-yard box looking for Fletcher.

Zabaleta gives away ball allowing Johnson to break, but his touch is heavy and Kompany intercepts.

Clumsy foul from Garnder as he pushes Aguero. Chance for City to swing this into the box with Milner - but it is poor and does not beat the first man.

Johnson beats Zabaleta for the first time, he gets cross in but Kompany flicks it clear - ball comes back in and Sunderland want a penalty as Nastasic grapples with Fletcher, but nothing given.

Nice ball over the top from Garcia, he finds Aguero - ball is worked over to Kolo Toure - but Rose makes a good block on his attempted cross.

Zabaleta back on but City have, for the time being, gone to 3-5-2.

Milner from the left breaks inside but fires well over the bar.

Play stopped as Zabaleta has a cut to the head and will need treatment after being caught by Fletcher's boot. He leaves the field for treatment.

This time it is Hart with a wonderful stop diving to his right to palm Fletcher's drive wide. Corner is headed clear by City.

Brilliant ball from Tevez as he shrugs off a challenge to find Aguero, he drives into the box before laying it back for Silva and he is only denied by fine Mignolet save.

Sunderland enjoying some possession now.

Larsson and Gardner over it...the latter takes but it is woeful, nearer to the corner flag than the goal.

Gardner is found on the edge of the box by Johnson but his shot is blocked - it comes for Rose and he wins a free-kick about 30-yards out after foul from Aguero.

Good work from Aguero as he skips past Kilgallon and Cuellar has to slide it behind. Ball comes back into the box for Kompany and Colback scrambles it away.

Sloppy from Silva as he just gives the ball away as City looked to breakthrough on the edge of the box.

Sessegnon gets spoken to for bringing down Milner - but no booking.

Yaya Toure exchanges passes with Aguero - he looks to curl one at the top corner but Mignolet comfortably claims it.

Great footwork from Silva, he beats Colback with ease before crossing to back post - but nobody in a blue shirt is there and Sunderland clear their lines.

City pushing Sunderland back at the moment. Starting to dominate.

Milner wins a free-kick on the edge of the box. Real chance for City - Silva looks like he fancies it, he takes it but fires wide - poor effort.

Corner for Man City as Larsson clears behind as Zabaleta broke into the box. Kompany hits the bar with a flick and then Yaya Toure is denied by a brilliant save from Mignolet with his feet.

Long free-kick into the box by Gardner is only punched clear by Hart - allowing Sunderland to retain possession but Kolo Toure clears.

Johnson in pain but is over the ball with Gardner and Larsson. Johnson will take but Nastasic heads clear.

Good ball from Rose to find Johnson, he breaks in from the right and is tripped by Zabaleta on the corner of the box - danger here for Sunderland.

Dangerous ball in from the right by Milner, Aguero challenges Kilgallon and he wants the corner - but goal-kick given.

Good run and break for Sessegnon, he looks for Fletcher on the right but Zabaleta intercepts and clears.

Four at the back for City and Kolo Toure is at right-back.

Early free-kick for City as McClean trips Aguero.

Sunderland get us underway kicking from right to left.

Some positivity from Sunderland's end though - like Joe Copland on Twitter:‏ "Sunderland to win 2-1 with Fletcher and Sessegnon to get a goal a piece! That's if we don't concede in the first half hour!"

First reaction coming in and neither sets of fans seem overly happy with their teams, especially in defence. City fan Petr Hruby on Lescott's omission Tweeted: "Yeah, it's sad. I think he doesn't deserve this. But good to see Milner and Garcia in starting XI."
