Nicholson: Rated doubtful

Fleetwood boss Graham Alexander could name an unchanged squad.

Alexander earned his first win in charge against Morecambe on Boxing Day and will be reluctant to make too many changes.

One may be forced on him however with Barry Nicholson rated doubtful for the clash.

The midfielder left the pitch after 26 minutes on Wednesday after picking up a knock. Jamie McGuire replaced him on the day and could deputise again.

Damien Johnson and Jamie Allen also provide further options for Alexander in the middle should Nicholson be forced to miss out.

Town have no other injury or suspension worries with remaining absentees Barry Ferguson (groin) and Jon Parkin (hamstring) set to stay on the sidelines.

York will definitely be without leading scorer Ashley Chambers.

Chambers, who has struck eight npower League Two goals this term, has a stomach problem with manager Gary Mills revealing he could be on the sidelines for a considerable length of time.

Alex Rodman replaced Chambers in the 3-0 Boxing Day defeat to Chesterfield, although Jamie Reed could come into the reckoning if Mills elects to use two strikers.

Centre-back Chris Doig is another doubt after he came off against the Spireites with a knock.

Oli Johnson (groin) and fellow striker Michael Coulson (knee) are long-term absentees.

Mills' side came up from the Blue Square Bet Premier with Fleetwood last season and currently lie six points behind Graham Alexander's men, who occupy the final play-off place.
