Live: West Brom 1 Fulham 2

FT: West Brom 1 Fulham 2.

Great chance for an equaliser but as Lukaku finds Morrison, his deflected effort lands in the greatful hands of Stockdale at the near post.

Briggs floors Mulumbu, as Berbatov holds up possession before coming off late on with Senderos taking his place.

Three minutes of time is added on.

Jones comes agonisingly close to equalise as the ball ricochets off numerous players before being hacked off the line by Sidwell.

Morrison's flat cross is quite poor, but as Hangeland meets the ball he is tripped by Long and kills another bit of time for Fulham in their search to hold on to the lead.

Penalty claims as Lukaku goes down under Hughes. It's not given though and Stockdale denies another ball in from reaching Odemwingie with a comfortable claim.

Sidwell is on hand to head away Odemwingie's ball in, after play continued when Thorne was clattered by Kacaniklic. The corner comes on, but Lukaku sees the ball deflect on to his head and fly wide.

A lack of control near the byline sees an opportunity squandered by Long, after an initial ball from Odemwingie set him away.

Foster punches away the corner, but West Brom's attack sees Sidwell stand his ground against the oncoming Odemwingie to break down the move.

Thorne enters the field with Brunt the man taken off.

A sublime ball to Lukaku from Long only results in Stockdale storming out to make the tackle. At the other end, Berbatov's curler clips a West Brom body and the umpteenth corner of the game is awarded.

It's end to end stuff now as Odemwingie curls the ball into the six-yard box with Hughes sliding in to concede a corner.

Dejagah goes for glory on the edge of the box, but his rasping effort glides wide despite looking like it may just provide Foster with some problems.

Ridgewell heads clear, but Dejagah reclaims possession, as his ball into Ruiz sees the striker go down under Tamas, with the referee waving play on despite penalty shouts from Fulham players.

Fulham look to create an opportunity down the right, with Berbatov and Riether involved, as the former wins his side a corner.

Rodallega looks to make a sensational entrance, but his ambitious drive from outside the box finds only the fans behind goal.

West Brom are currently 10/1 with Sky Bet to come back and win this, with Fulham 2/5 on to see out the win. The draw may offer better value at 5/2 though, while Lukaku is 7/a to score next.

Karagounis is taken off with Rodallega coming on.

West Brom are getting closer, as Long keeps the ball in play near the byline, floating it back into the box where Lukaku heads over from close range.

Ruiz's sublime ball finds Kacaniklic, but he can't work his earlier magic from a similar position and Tamas reads the danger to intercept.

West Brom's advances are halted as Fulham keep their shape and restrict space in the final third. Morrison floats a ball into the box, but Long can only direct his header straight down the throat of Stockdale.

Top skill from Berbatov, nudging the ball past Tamas as the defender lunges in to concede a free-kick near the touchline.

Stockdale claims the delivery confidently, and upon his throw out to Sidwell, the Cottagers man is felled by Mulumbu to win a free-kick.

Morrison's persistence from a corner ensures West Brom get a second bite of the cherry. The ball is played short, and Lukaku's ball into the box is headed behind by the towering Hangeland.

Sidwell is caught napping by Long, but as Fulham break Berbatov is forced to halt his run from Sidwell's pass and is caught offside in the process.

Some exquisite play from the Baggies once more, but a loose touch from Long allows Hughes in, the defender then earning a free-kick as Brunt attempted to win the ball back.

Remarkable one-touch football from West Brom sees at least six players involved before Odemwingie's lay-off to Brunt sees Hangeland to cover and take the ball away.

Double change for WBA as Gera is replaced by Long as Fortune comes off for Odemwingie.

Mulumbu clatters into Karagounis, and while the West Brom fans and players are furious, it's a free-kick to Fulham.

Tamas hesitates in a dangerous area, but the move nearly comes to fruition as Brunt looks for Lukaku with Stockdale rushing out to collect.

Briggs' speculative cross from the left takes a touch off Jones and is easy for McAuley to clear, with a number of scrappy midfield passes resulting in the ball finding its way to Foster.

Berbatov continues play as Karagounis lays injured, and as Dejagah is tackled, the midfielder can finally receive treatment.

This is superb from Fulham. Karagounis finds Kacaniklic with a tremendous ball inbetween WBA's centre-backs, and the winger turns away from McAuley before firing home under Foster. Against the run of play it may have been but Fulham are back ahead.

Gera holds off Dejagah, but he can't find Lukaku with a floated ball into the box. Fulham aim to press forward in possession but Karagounis is tackled by Ridgewell.

Kacaniklic tries to help Fulham advance out of their own half but loses out to Mulumbu and WBA break. Lukaku draws a fine save out of Stockdale before Morrison strikes the post with Brunt forcing another top-class save from the Fulham keeper. An incredible minute of play.

West Brom claim they should be awarded a corner, but as the ball comes off Sidwell, it is a Fulham goal-kick that is given after another promising attack from the Baggies.

Lukaku hits the post! The striker holds off Hughes and meets Sidwell's chip before powering the ball off the outside of the woodwork, It's all West Brom for the time being.

Fortune is direct again as he takes on Briggs, gets to the byline but sees his cut-back across goal gathered at the near post by Stockdale.

Fortune leads West Brom forward again, but his delivery to the back post is pacey and ends up travelling out. The hosts have clearly had a fire lit under them at the break.

What a response from the Baggies. Fortune's persistence sees Jones played through down the right, the full-back cutting inside Briggs before drilling the ball across to Lukaku who taps into an empty net. 1-1 and game on!

An early clash leaves Berbatov grounded after Fortune shoulder's catches the striker in the face and leaves him requiring treatment.

West Brom get the action back underway.

Sky Bet's half-time price boosts include Berbatov to score next (9/1) & Fortune next goal (8/1), while Fulham can be backed for a 2-0 win at 7/2. If you fancy the Baggies to recover, though, they're available at 7/1 to win 2-1, while Lukaku next goal and a 1-1 final score is 16/1.

HALF TIME. West Brom 0 Fulham 1.

One minute of added time to be played.

The Baggies fans are imploring their team to advance with menace, but SIdwell and Karagounis intercept two successive attacks. When Ridgewell does get down the left, Fortune can only head wide.

Riether retains his balance to head away under pressure from Lukaku, and as the striker gets a touch to the ball, it's a Fulham goal-kick, with the visitors looking quite comfortable now.

Stockdale's long ball forward to Ruiz finds only McAuley, but the defender fails to clear as Berbatov charges him down and ends up conceding a corner deep in West Brom's half.

Lovely stuff from Fulham, as Gera loops the ball over the top for Dejagah, who picks out Berbatov perfectly before the striker coolly slots the ball past Foster. 1-0 to Fulham!

West Brom receive a free-kick after Karagounis again collides with Mulumbu, and again the decision goes against the Fulham midfielder.

Karagounis keeps the ball alive as Fulham press in the final third, but as West Brom retain their shape, he decides the best option to shoot, and it results with a poor strike sailing over the bar.

Stockdale takes a clattering under Fortune from the delivery, and the referee awards the Cottagers a free-kick as a result.

Morrison creates a yard for himself to let rip, and does so, with his curling effort cannoning of Hangeland's head for a corner.

Riether's ball from the right catches Ruiz and Berbatov in different positions, but Kacaniklic reclaims it, before Mulumbu makes a strong challenge on Karagounis as he lined up to shoot.

Ridgewell's clearance results in some scrappy midfield passes from both teams, and as Ruiz looks to play in Berbatov, the ball ends up back with Ridgewell.

Lukaku turns wonderfully away from Riether, but Hangeland covers to add reinforcements and ends up stealing the ball away from the striker.

Berbatov and Dejagah combine spectacularly, but after receiving a stroke of luck as Brunt slips attempting a back-pass, he wildly fires over on the half-volley. Big chance for Fulham.

From the Baggies' corner, Tamas gets to the ball ahead of Hughes, but he can only direct his header wide of Stockdale's far post. Much better this from WBA after a nervy opening 20 minutes.

Lukaku is fed clear by Brunt in behind Hughes, with the powerful striker's shot remarkably charged down by the sliding Sidwell.

Fortune and Karagounis tangle, with a brave battle fought by both resulting in a free-kick to West Brom.

Hughes gets the delivery away, but Mulumbu keeps the attack alive as Hangeland is forced into conceding yet another corner.

Stockdale again covers himself with glory after punching away a Brunt free-kick superbly. West Brom maintain their attack though, with Fortune's driven shot going for a corner.

Good hands from Stockdale to prevent Brunt's delivery from the right meeting the path of Lukaku. This is better from West Brom who have more of an urgency going forward now.

The natives are getting restless as Brunt looks for Fortune with the outcome a misdirected pass. Gera then looks for Lukaku with Stockdale sprinting out well to claim the ball.

Foster inexplicably passes straight into the path of Karagounis, but fortunately his blushes are spared when McAuley reads his pass into Ruiz.

Briggs' shot deflects into Berbatov's path, but Tamas marshalls the striker to force him into passing to Ruiz, with McAuley the man this time charging into the path of his shot.

Best chance of the game for the hosts, as McAuley leaps to meet the free-kick, and from a tricky angle aims a fairly good effort wide of goal.

Berbatov tracks back but fouls Fortune, according to the referee, with replays showing it was a tad harsh on the striker.

Hangeland looks for Riether on the right, but West Brom intercept through Ridgewell. Morrison takes over down the right but Brunt loses possession and the attack breaks down.

Fortune heads on Brunt's free-kick, but Hangeland reaches the second ball and makes the clearance for Fulham.

Mulumbu plays the ball past Sidwell and the Fulham man commits to making the challenge which results in a Baggies free-kick.

Fulham's corner breaks down, but Mulumbu's attempt to drive the ball away sees Briggs make a sterling challenge. Nervy start this from the Baggies with Fulham firmly on top for now.

Lovely stuff from Fulham as Hangeland finds Berbatov with a swift pass. The striker feeds in Kacaniklic before Tamas heads over.

Dejagah skips past Gera impressively, with the ball eventually finding Sidwell who stabs an effort at goal that sails harmlessly over the bar.

It's Hughes who gets his head on the corner, with a deflection taking it out of play once more. Fulham play the second corner short, and they make a mess of it as Mulumbu steps in on Karagounis.

Fulham respond as Kacaniklic gets away from Jones, playing in Ruiz neatly, whose deflected shot goes for a corner.

Dejagah loses out in a battle with Ridgewell and Mulumbu is set away down the right by Gera. Briggs does well though and makes a timely tackle on the Baggies man.

Morrison looks to hold up the ball in the corner, but his touch eludes him and he ends up carelessly letting it roll of play, conceding a goal-kick.

Gera aims high for Lukaku, but the striker advances a fraction too early and the linesman raises his flag for offside.

Lukaku persists in a surging run forward, but lacking any options either side of him, Hangeland just stands his ground and ends up recapturing the ball.

Kacaniklic delivers a solid ball in from the left but Ridgewell clears away. Moments later, Karagounis draws the free-kick from Mulumbu but as Ruiz is played in short it's Ridgewell again who gets in the way.

Good control from Mulumbu, but Lukaku can't feed the ball back into his path and this allows Dejagah to intercept for Fulham.

As the strong sunshine blazes on Fulham's defenders, their path forward is blocked off by West Brom, before Brunt fouls Sidwell and concedes a free-kick.

Fulham kick off and get the first match of 2013 underway.

The players are engaging in the pre-match handshake and we're now minutes away from kick-off. Here's hoping it's a thriller to see in 2013.

The referee today is Mike Dean.

Fulham: Stockdale, Riether, Hughes, Hangeland, Briggs, Dejagah, Sidwell, Karagounis, Kacaniklic, Ruiz, Berbatov. Subs: Somogyi, Senderos, Baird, Kasami, Richardson, Rodallega, Frei.

Here are the teams...

Rob Davies writes: "This is going to be a tight clash! Looking forward to It! West Brom got a lot of key players ou, fulham's away form recently not good. I am going to say 2-2, fulham going 2-1 up and a last minute header will earn West Brom a point. If west brom do go onto win it, it will put them in a strong position as all teams around them not playing until later or tomorrow!"

With West Brom having failed to score in three of their last four league games against Fulham, Sky Bet offer tempting odds of 12/1 on a 0-0 correct score. For the more optimistic punter, we've boosted the price on West Brom to win 3-1 from 14/1 to 16/1, while Fulham to win 1-0 is now 11/1 from 10/1.

West Brom manager Steve Clarke makes five changes from the side beaten 2-0 at Manchester United for the home Barclays Premier League encounter with Fulham. Fit again defensive midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu and the rested quartet of Zoltan Gera, James Morrison, Marc-Antoine Fortune and Romelu Lukaku are recalled to the side. The Cottagers manager Martin Jol - a former Albion player - makes one change from the side beaten 2-1 at home by Swansea, with midfielder Alexander Kacaniklic preferred to Kerim Frei.

Happy New Year everyone and welcome to live coverage of West Brom v Fulham from the Hawthorns. The teams will be uploaded here imminently, and if you'd like to send me a message on your thoughts for today, send an e-mail to or tweet @JWoodfield365
