Stale Solbakken: Changes afoot

Wolves manager Stale Solbakken is expected to make changes to his out-of-form team as they head to Crystal Palace.

The 2-0 loss against Ipswich on Saturday was their second home defeat in four days, which leaves them with just three wins from their last 15 games.

Solbakken's men were booed off at half-time and full-time for the second successive game and the Norwegian will be looking for a reaction from his players.

Bjorn Sigurdarson and David Davis are likely to keep their starting places after being recalled to face the Blues, meaning Jermaine Pennant and Tongo Doumbia may have to settle for a place among the substitutes again.

Jamie O'Hara played 24 minutes as a second-half substitute against Mick McCarthy's side and he is closing in on his first start of the season following a hernia problem.

Defender Richard Stearman is a further option to Solbakken but Wayne Hennessey, Stephen Hunt and George Elokobi remain out.

Palace remain without Damien Delaney. The defender sits out the final game of his three-match ban after receiving a red card in the 1-1 draw with Huddersfield.

Danny Gabbidon will continue in his absence and make his first start at Selhurst Park since joining the club in September.

Jonathan Williams made his first appearance since October during Saturday's 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest following a groin problem and the midfielder will be looking for another run-out.

But skipper Paddy McCarthy remains sidelined with the groin injury that has prevented him playing this campaign.

Palace have won just once in their last eight games and have slipped to fourth, seven points behind leaders Cardiff.
