Mansell: Rated doubtful

Mansell: Rated doubtful

Torquay captain Lee Mansell looks likely to miss Tuesday's League Two tie.

The 30-year-old midfielder sustained a severely cut knee, which required three stitches, in the Boxing Day draw with Plymouth and has 'a fighting chance' of being fit according to manager Martin Ling.

The postponement of their clash at Aldershot means they are still without defender Brian Saah as he completes his three-match ban following a straight red card against Bradford earlier this month.

Forward Ryan Jarvis is out for two months after suffering a fractured rib and a punctured lung in the draw with Northampton and Ling knows he is short of numbers in the attacking third.

"I've stated before that we need a striker," Ling told their official website. "We are looking to fetch in a bigger type of player when January arrives."

AFC Wimbledon are without the suspended William Antwi for the trip to Torquay.

The defender picked up a fifth booking of the campaign during the 3-0 home reverse against Oxford at the weekend and serves a one-match ban.

Fellow defender Yado Mambo has returned to Charlton following the end of his loan spell to leave Neal Ardley with a defensive dilemma.

But he is boosted by the return of Jim Fenlon to the backline following his suspension and he has Pim Balkestein and Mat Mitchell-King ready to come into the starting XI if required.

Ardley hopes to have forward trio Luke Moore (illness), Charlie Strutton (knee) and Byron Harrison (back) available for the trip after they all missed the Oxford trip.
