McLeod: Poised for second debut

Izale McLeod will be included in the MK Dons squad for the weekend tie.

McLeod, the club's all-time leading goalscorer, re-signed for the Dons last week after leaving Portsmouth but was suspended - and cup-tied - for the FA Cup clash against Sheffield Wednesday after collecting a one-match ban in his final appearance for Pompey.

The striker is expected to make his second debut for the Milton Keynes side at some stage against the Shakers.

Manager Karl Robinson took a depleted squad to Hillsborough last weekend but his numbers have swelled ahead of Saturday.

Daniel Powell has resumed training following a knock, as have Dean Bowditch and Jon Otsemobor after recovering from groin injuries, while Jay O'Shea has returned from his loan spell at Chesterfield.

Captain Dean Lewington is in line to make his 400th Football League appearance against Kevin Blackwell's men.

Bury will hand late fitness tests to Andrai Jones and Troy Hewitt.

Defender Jones and on-loan QPR forward Hewitt have been struck down by the norovirus in recent days and boss Kevin Blackwell may elect to leave them out of the travelling party.

Hewitt's absence would be keenly felt by the Shakers with fellow forwards Andy Bishop (foot), David Healy (thigh) and Lenell John-Lewis (hamstring) all sidelined.

Defender Ethan Ebanks-Landell, midfielder Zac Thompson, winger Gregg Wilde and forward Tom Hopper are all in contention to play after extending their loan spells at Gigg Lane.

Defensive duo Phil Picken (knee) and Adam Lockwood (groin) remain long-term absentees.

Bury are without a win in seven npower League One matches.
