GOAL - ADAM LE FONDRE - Great finish from Le Fondre, Akpan shot is mis-hit and it falls for Le Fondre to fire home.

Replays show it is more like Le Fondre's chest which the ball came off.

Home fans are not happy as Cabaye is brought off replaced by Gael Bigirimana comes on.

Cabaye fires wide as Newcastle look to hit back.

GOAL - ADAM LE FONDRE - Goal is scrambled home by Le Fondre. Leigertwood hits wonderful cross field ball for Kebe, he takes it into the box and slides it into the six-yard box, and it is in off Le Fondre - maybe even off his hand.

Adam Le Fondre replaces Guthrie.

Guthrie ball for Kebe and he is almost through on goal but good defending from Gutierrez allows Krul to come out and claim it.

Reading free-kick, Harte takes but Ameobi heads clear.

Another booking for Reading as Stephen Kelly goes through the back of Gutierrez.

Marveaux is replaced by Perch.

Nice ball from Guthrie is knocked down by Kebe, but Pogrebnyak fires over with wild effort.

More nice work from Cabaye, he finds Marveaux but his ball over the top for Cisse is poor.

Danger now for Reading. Harte and Guthrie over it. The latter takes and it is just over.

Williamson is booked for clumsy challenge.

Nice lay off from Cisse, comes for Cabaye but his effort from range is wide.

Santon wins corner off Leigertwood. Cabaye puts it in, but Porgebnyak clears for Reading. It comes back for Ameobi, he looks to curl it into the top corner but it is well wide.

WIlliamson brings down Pogrebnyak. Harte puts it into the box but Newcastle clear and they counter. CIsse breaks down the left, he looks for Marveaux but Mariappa clears with an excellent header.

Cabaye brings down Guthrie, chance for Reading to put this into the box. Harte swings it in and deflection off Gutierrez sends it just wide of Krul's goal.

Reading get us underway, neither side has made a change.

Whistle goes and Newcastle have the lead through Cabaye.

Gutierrez looks for run of Santon but it is over hit and the Italian cannot keep it in.

Nice play from Reading, Guthrie looks for ball into the box but Krul takes it.

GOAL - YOHAN CABAYE - Great free-kick from the Frenchman into the top corner left Federici with no chance.

Marveaux is brought down on the edge of the D by Adrian Mariappa - Cabaye steps up...

Another top save from Federici as he denies Cisse from point-blank range after good work from Debuchy down the right.

Pogrebnyak tries to play Jobi McAnuff through but the assistant flags for offside, but replays show he was on.

Another good chance for Cisse as Vurnon Aniti heads the ball on but his volley is straight at Federici.

Great chance for Reading as Garath McCleary breaks he beats Debuchy and cross into the box for Pavel Pogrebnyak to slide it wide.

Newcastle corner comes in, Gutierrez gets the header in, it falls for Cisse but his effort is blocked.

Leigertwood brings don Ameobi, Cabaye puts it in but Coloccini heads over.

Another free-kick for Newcastle about 35-yards out, Cabaye looks to put it in - but he hits the first man.

Corner for Newcastle as a blizzard engulfs the ground. Reading clear through Pearce.

Good run from Jonas Gutierrez down the left, he crosses deep into the area but Federici punches clear.

Great ball into the area from Cabaye finds Papiss Cisse unmarked but he cannot beat Federici with his header as the Australian makes an excellent reflex save.

Great chance for Cabaye in the box, he goes tor the near post but Federici saves again. Good chance.

Cabaye goes for goal from 25-yards, it skids off the surface but Federici deals with it well.

Ameobi heads down towards Cabaye in the box, but good work from Pearce to get in and clear ahead of the Frenchman.

Great play by Mikele Leigertwood, he intercepts the ball in midfield before releasing Jimmy Kebe with a great ball, he has nobody in support and cuts back, he crosses but Tim Krul claims it.

Davide Santon gets up well on the left, he drives his cross into the box but Pearce clears.

More reaction coming in and a number of Newcastle fans now giving their views - like Gordon Cosgrave in Ireland: "Toon to bounce back with a win today. Cabaye free kick and Cisse with the goals. 2-0 to the Toon. Howay The Lads."

Ian Harte brings down Ameobi. Chance for Newcastle to play this into the area. Yohan Cabaye takes, it drops for Mike Williamson but he misses his kick and Reading clear.

Reading free-kick into the Newcastle box from Alex Pearce but Fabricio Coloccini clears.
