F/T: QPR 0 Norwich 0

Ben Haim collides with Becchio, and it appeared to be a clear nudge in the box, with the QPR defender very fortunate not to have been penalised.

Mackie can't latch on to Zamora's knock down, but he is back on the chase moments later as he holds up the ball for Townsend. This is a very strong end to the match for QPR.

Johnson nudges the ball past Townsend, but the midfielder can't get around him trying to follow the ball through and QPR break, before Garrido makes the challenge on Fabio.

Five minutes of injury time are added on.

Taarabt takes a risk in dribbling near his own byline, but Samba sorts things out as he heads away Bennett's delivery from the right.

Becchio comes on to make his Canaries debut, with Hoolahan the man going off in his place.

A simply stunning effort from Townsend sees Bunn make an oustanding save to prevent the ball finding the top corner. Outrageous stuff from both players.

Bassong makes amends with a sterling headed over the bar from the free-kick as QPR look to make their pressure count from another corner.

The yellow card is out again and this time it's for Bassong, who stands his ground to impede Mackie's promising run forward.

Nice play from Norwich, as Hoolahan snatches the ball from the air, lining up Holt who sees his effort well saved by Cesar.

Hoolahan helps on Tettey's clearance from another QPR corner, but Townsend prevents Holt from breaking. Afterwards, the midfielder crosses in brilliantly but Zamora can only head wide at the far post.

Jenas takes the free-kick, and it comes straight off Mackie who was running through the centre. Quite an odd decision reallty from his team-mate.

Yellow card for Turner, a harsh one it appears as he went with Mackie for a header and ended up meeting it before the QPR striker.

Snodgrass' delivery incredibly travels through everyone, with Holt closing to getting a glancing flick on the ball which runs out of play without a touch.

Snodgrass aims a remarkable effort on goal, with his 25-yard scorcher inches away from catching Cesar out, who parries behind to concede a corner.

The bravery of Hill knows no bounds, as he leaps valiantly to meet Taarabt's corner, heading only wide after beating Bassong and Garrido to the ball.

Ben-Haim's swerving delivery is met by the head of Bassong, before Mackie steals the ball from Garrido. Townsend is played in, but his shot, despite packing a punch, is dealt with well by Bunn.

Zamora's hussling and strength forces Garrido into clearing widly, but upon QPR's throw-in, Johnson prevents the ball reaching Mackie.

Yellow card for Hill after a rash challenge on Hoolahan.

Fabio is replaced by Ben-Haim.

Holt's deflected effort is cut out by Samba, but Bennett takes an almighty whack in the face from Fabio's delivery down the line. Painful stuff that looked.

Mackie pauses on the ball and is pounced upon by Johnson, but Norwich can't find a path forward as the game seems to relapse to its lacklustre pattern of the first half.

Snodgrass twice looks for Holt, but the first delivery sees Hill intercept, before the offside flag scuppers the striker's plans after claiming the ball impressively.

Bennett is forced into panic mode by Townsend, who pressures the winger back to the byline before his botched clearance gifts QPR back possession, where they hold up play in midfield.

Mbia is replaced, with a QPR debut for Jenas now in the books.

Taarabt's free-kick clips the head of Samba, with Holt on the line to stab the ball away. Great defending from the Norwich striker.

Bennett makes a strong tackle on Fabio, and the full-back is down in some discomfort. Moments later, Tettey catches Taarabt and picks up a yellow card,

Traore can't keep the ball from crossing out of play for a corner and Norwich's big guns come up. It's Derry who gets his head to the ball though, before Hill clears the second ball in.

Fabio does well to even clear the ball under pressure from Bennett, but the free-kick is given regardless, and the full-back's efforts appear much more impressive.

Traore intercepts Snodgrass' attempted delivery, but it's end to end now and both teams look much more likely to score than they did in the first half.

Johnson attempts the spectacular, being presented with time to shoot before unleashing a thunderous drive that Cesar parries for a corner.

A promisinn build-up from Norwich sees Hoolahan played in, but he can only find the arms of Cesar. Moments later, Taarabt lets rip with a much improved effort that stings the palms of Bunn, who parries away.

Fabio plays blindly into Johnson, who drifts to the left before seeing his cross cleared by Samba. Suddenly the game has burst into life now!

Taarabt goes for the far corner, but he can only find the fans behind goal. The forward really has been disappointing in front of goal today.

Mackie can't find his way through the Norwich bodies, until Turner slides into the striker recklessly, conceding a free-kick on the edge of the area.

Bunn saves Taarabt's penalty! He's had a poor day so far and it continues as Bunn guesses the right way, parrying strongly to deny the hosts taking the lead.

It's a yellow card to Bunn, but it seemed harsh as Mackie goes over under the Norwich after a pass from Zamora. Taarabt steps up....

Penalty to QPR!

Wright-Phillips is taken off for QPR, as Zamora adds to the hosts' attack.

Cesar's goal is being pummelled now, first as Tettey's effort is cleared off the line before Samba makes the tackle to deny Snodgrass a tap-in.

Samba throws himself at Taarabt's delivery but a wave of Norwich bodies prevent him reaching the ball. Moments later, Snodgrass' delivery finds Hoolahan who draws an outrageous save from Cesar at the near post.

Garrido charges into Wright-Phillips once more, and this time the full-back earns himself a yellow card.

A Taarabt free-kick takes a hopeful flick off Mackie, but it lands in the arms of Bunn. Had it found the net it would have been spectacular.

Holt battles resiliently with Samba, but the decision goes against the Norwich striker, and he is reprimanded for tugging by the referee.

Taarabt finally delivers an inviting ball into the six-yard box, with Mbia and Samba both inches away from poking home from close range.

Wright-Phillips takes a clattering under Garrido, and QPR have an early chance to find the target with a free-kick on the edge of the area.

Norwich get the game restarted.

Kevin Hall writes: "Sometimes it's like that with 2 teams style of play that inhibit flair. Guess a goal will happen from a goal mouth miele unless Taarabt, Wright -Phillips or Holt can run at the defence and nick one.1-0 either way."

Paul Emmett writes: "Provided they can nick a goal I can see QPR winning this one. A quality back five and the creativity of Taarabt should be the difference. 1-0."

So a fairly underwhelming 45 minutes comes to an end with a very even half ending goalless. Hopefully things will pick up in the second half, send your predictions to jack.woodfield@bskyb.com

HALF TIME. QPR 0 Norwich 0.

Traore does well to dispossess Snodgrass, but he can't feed in Taarabt who is watched all the way by Tettey, who makes a sterling challenge on the forward.

Taarabt's corner nearly catches Bunn off guard, but he gets his hand to it to ensure the ball doesn't creep under the net, with Taarabt still yet to provide a delivery today that has offered a chance for a team-mate.

Fabio and Wright-Phillips combine to find Mackie, but the striker is marshalled expertly by Bassong, blocking his shot on goal as Garrido sweeps up the danger.

Snodgrass' curler lands narrowly round the near post, as both teams continue to struggle to produce any moments of real quality in the final third.

Mbia receives the first booking of the day for persistent fouling, with Norwich awarded a free-kick 30 yards from goal.

Taarbat didn't learn from that previous free-kick. He again floats the ball into Bunn's arms and his team-mates must surely be frustrated due to his otherwise immense quality.

Hill practically falls into the ball, but he clears it regardless as Townsend looks to lead QPR away, who receives another nudge from Marin, earning QPR another free-kick.

Fabio is sold by Bennett's turn and is lured into making the challenge, as Norwich win a free-kick in a dangerous position.

QPR carve out a pretty good chance as Wright-Phillips' wonderful skill takes him away from Garrido, before the winger slips while shooting, seeing his scuffed effort drift wide of goal.

Good movement down the right from QPR sees Fabio cross in, but Turner meets the ball first, with Norwich looking to break until the ball slips under Holt and back to Cesar.

Townsend displays his pace to edge past Snodgrass, but Martin is ajudged to have fouled the midfielder and QPR win a free-kick.

A Norwich corner is bravely headed back behind by Hill, under severe pressure from Bennett, and the Canaries win another corner.

Another shot on goal for Norwich, but Holt fails to beat Cesar again with a header. Hughton will no doubt be happy at the chances his side are creating though.

Holt rather lazily gifts QPR possession during a Norwich attack, but Tettey's persistence ensures that Taarabt makes no advancing run into the visitors' half.

Fabio turns into danger attempting an overhead clearance, but Johnson lunges into the right-back and his mistake goes unpunished.

Brilliant chance for Norwich, as Snodgrass slips in behind Traore, delivering a good ball into Holt who can only head into the arms of Juilo Cesar.

Wright-Phillips advances down the right, earning a corner in the process, but Turner gets his head to the ball first before Martin concedes another corner.

Wright-Phillips plays his team into danger as Garrido steals the ball during an attempted clearance, before a dreadful ball into the box travels out of play anyway.

Pilkington comes off, presumably due to an injury concern, and E Bennett replaces the Norwich winger.

Terrific battling from Hill ensures that Pilkington fails to deliver from the left, but when Garrido offers support, his ball is headed wide by Snodgrass.

Holt is judged to have backed into Hill, and after a promising spell of Norwich pressure, a free-kick is awarded to the hosts.

Mbia looks to force his way forward, but the referee deems his pulls down Snodgrass and the midfielder is reprimanded for his efforts.

Townsend, still a little rusty it appears, fails to clear the ball down the line and concedes a needless throw-in, but fortunately for the midfielder, Snodgrass loses control in possession regardless.

Holt breaks away for Norwich, and after losing the ball, Hill takes it upon himself to floor the striker and concede a free-kick in the process.

Townsend asks a lot of Mackie, and the striker desperately tries to keep the ball in play, before the referee awards a Norwich throw-in deep in their own half.

Taarabt drifts a floater into the box, but Bunn remains alert before claiming the ball amidst a host of bodies.

Between them, Turner and Pilkington get the ball away, but QPR resume their pressure as Martin is penalised for a foul on Townsend.

Garrido is tested by Mackie, and the persistence of the striker forces the final touch off Garrido as QPR win a corner.

Taarabt does excellently to carve out space to feed in Mackie, but upon turning, the striker can only fire wide across the face of goal, as the hosts start to impose themselves on the match.

Taarbat takes aim for the third time, but this time his drive cannons off the back off Turner before Tettey steps in to reclaim possession.

Garrido looks to link up with Pilikington, but the admirably defensive efforts from Wright-Phillips ensure the return pass doesn't meet the Norwich winger.

Both teams struggle to develop any meaningful attacks, until suddenly the livewire Taarabat takes it upon himself to take on four Norwich players, unleashing a powerful effort that skims past the far post.

Bassong speculatively knocks the ball up for Holt, but Samba calmly heads the ball behind into the path of Julio Cesar.

Townsend makes good progress down the left, but his ball that comes in is behind all of his arriving team-mates and Norwich regain possession through Tettey.

Norwich knock the ball round the park neatly, but eventually spaces runs out down the left as Johnson's ball to Pilkington travels only for Fabio.

Bassong does well to avoid being caught out by the bouncing ball, with Mackie hoping for a mistake before the centre-back recovered.

Snodgrass turns Traore inside out, before delivering a solid ball into the six-yard box with Hoolahan poking the ball over the bar from close range. Massive early chance for the Canaries.

Snodgrass delivers from the right, but Hill steps up to steer the ball away from danger as Norwich win a throw-in in the hosts' half.

Taarabt tests his range early on, letting rip with a fierce drive from 30 yards that ends up swerving away from Bunn's goal.

QPR get the action underway.

The pre-match handshake has commenced and we're very close to kick-off now at Loftus Road.

Midfielder Jermaine Jenas, signed by his former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp, is on the bench, but £8million striker Loic Remy misses out through injury.
