Chris Chantler: Sidelined through injury

Carlisle winger Andy Welsh looks set to continue in the side due to the continued absence of Chris Chantler.

Chantler, who can play at left-back or in midfield, has missed the last three games due to ankle ligament injury and Welsh has seized his chance after making his first start of the season in the recent home draw with Scunthorpe.

Welsh retained his place in last week's win at leaders Tranmere and with Matty Robson set to continue in defence, the 29-year-old should line up again in midfield.

Striker Rory Loy is hoping to retain his place up front after scoring his first goal in over a year last week following his year-long lay-off with a broken leg.

Experienced defenders Mike Edwards and Peter Murphy are pushing for recalls and teenagers Dave Symington and Mark Beck are set to resume on the substitutes' bench.

Stevenage boss Gary Smith has no new injury worries.

Defender Jon Ashton remains the only absentee after suffering an Achilles injury in training last month which required an operation and brought a premature end to his season.

Ben Chorley, who joined Boro from Leyton Orient on deadline day, will keep his place at the back.

Striker Patrick Agyemang will not be involved after he joined Portsmouth on loan.

Agyemang has slipped down the pecking order at Boro after Smith brought in Sam Hoskins and Steve Beleck to pep up his attack.

Smith could name an unchanged starting XI after they picked up a 2-0 win over Notts County last weekend.
