Romain Vincelot: Set for O's debut

Romain Vincelot could make his Orient debut against the league leaders.

Boss Russell Slade has signed the 27-year-old utility man on a contract until the end of the season after he was released by Brighton last month.

Vincelot can play in defence or midfield and will help fill the void left by Ben Chorley's recent move to Stevenage.

Slade can also welcome back striker Charlie MacDonald, who was cup-tied for the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat by Southend, but top scorer Kevin Lisbie remains a doubt due to a hamstring injury.

Defender Nathan Clarke is fit after an ankle problem and was on the bench against Southend, so he is pushing for a recall along with Anthony Griffith and Leon McSweeney.

Tranmere will be without forward Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro.

Akpa Akpro begins a three-match ban having been sent off during last weekend's 1-0 defeat to Carlisle for kicking out at Frank Simek.

Donervorn Daniels is expected to continue at centre-back after the youngster extended his loan from West Brom until the end of the season.

Rovers skipper James Wallace is still around three weeks away from a return in midfield due to a medial knee ligament injury.

"Wallace is going to be another three weeks," manager Ronnie Moore confirmed.

"He was misdiagnosed when he first did it. We were told he was only going to be out for three weeks so the MRI scan didn't pick up what is apparently a third degree tear in there.

"That takes 12 weeks to heal. He did it on December 1 so it will be round about the 12-week mark when he's right again."
