Greg Cunningham: A doubt for the game with a hamstring injury

The Eagles boosted their promotion bid with a thumping 4-1 win over Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Defenders Paddy McCarthy, Joel Ward (both groin) and Danny Gabbidon (hamstring) are set to miss out again, along with midfielders Owen Garvan (knee), Andre Moritz (ankle) and Alex Nimely (hamstring), but Holloway has no new injury worries.

However, Jonny Williams, who started on Saturday, could be rested as Palace continue to manage the young midfielder's fitness carefully following an injury-hit start to the season.

Veteran striker Kevin Phillips has scored twice in three substitute appearances since joining from Blackpool so he could be given a chance from the start, alongside 27-goal top scorer Glenn Murray.

Bristol City are sweating on the fitness of Greg Cunningham.

The left-back, 22, missed Saturday's clash with Cardiff with a hamstring injury picked up in training on Thursday, and head coach Sean O'Driscoll is crossing his fingers than the Republic of Ireland international will be able to return.

If Cunningham fails to make it then Richard Foster is likely to deputise again.

Striker Sam Baldock is also a doubt with a calf strain but one player who does look likely to return is captain Cole Skuse who missed Saturday's 2-1 defeat through injury.

Skuse gives Sean O'Driscoll another midfield option following Brian Howard's arrival at the club on Friday.

The former Portsmouth man, who was previously a free agent, made his Robins bow on Saturday and is likely to be involved again.

Winger Albert Adomah is pushing for a start at Selhurst Park having returned to action as a second-half substitute in South Wales after his stint away on Africa Cup of Nations duty with Ghana.
