Brian Wilson: Pushing for a recall

Under-pressure Colchester boss Joe Dunne is certain to make changes for the visit of the in-form Glovers.

Dunne is aiming to bounce back from Saturday's drubbing at the hands of Tranmere.

The U's fell 5-1 at home to Rovers to remain in the League One relegation zone, three points adrift of safety, ahead of meeting a Yeovil side who have won eight and drawn one of their last nine.

Dunne named an unchanged side from the team which lost 3-0 at Sheffield United the week previous but new faces will be on the agenda this time around.

Fit-again right-back Brian Wilson is certain to be recalled having been back on the bench at the weekend following his calf problem.

The likes of Drey Wright, Marcus Bean, Andy Bond, Clinton Morrison, Tom Eastman and even goalkeeper Mark Cousins, fit again after a wrist injury, are also in contention.

Captain Kem Izzet is due to make his long-awaited return from an ankle injury for the club's Under-21 side at Ipswich on Monday night, meaning he could possibly be back in the frame for Saturday's trip to Stevenage.

Yeovil are likely to be without two key players as they look to extend their unbeaten League One streak to 11 games at Colchester.

Striker James Hayter left the pitch on a stretcher after kicking a Doncaster player's boot on Saturday, while captain Jamie McAllister had to be withdrawn when he landed awkwardly on his ankle.

Manager Gary Johnson is yet to discover the expected length of their absences but the duo look set to miss the trip.

Nathan Ralph and Gavin Williams finished the match in place of the two injury victims and they could get the nod from the start.

The Glovers, yet to taste defeat in the league in 2013, are just one point off the automatic promotion places after their draw at The Keepmoat on Saturday.
