Marvin Morgan and Jon Taylor are both pushing for recalls as Shrewsbury aim to continue their fine form at home.

New loan signing Tom Eaves was preferred to Morgan for Saturday's clash against Stevenage while winger Taylor returned to the matchday 18 after a groin injury.

Both stepped off the bench to play their part in Town's 2-1 victory as Taylor crossed to Morgan for his 86th-minute winner.

Manager Graham Turner must now decide whether to start with the pair from the off against Rovers or retain an unchanged starting XI as Shrews aim to record a third successive victory.

Defender Jermaine Grandison (hip) is increasing his training this week with a view to a return within the next 10 days while fellow long-term absentee Mark Wright (knee) is also making good progress, however he is not as far ahead in his recovery.

Doncaster boss Brian Flynn will have an unchanged squad.

Midfielders David Syers and Paul Keegan and striker Iain Hume all returned from injury against Yeovil on Saturday without suffering any ill effects.

Keegan played the full 90 minutes while Syers and Hume were introduced from the bench midway through the second half of the 1-1 draw with the Glovers.

Long-term absentees Chris Brown and Andy Griffin aside, Martin Woods is now the only player unavailable through injury. The midfielder will be out for around a month after suffering a tear in a calf muscle.

On-loan Everton midfielder John Lundstram made his Doncaster, and senior football, debut from the start at the weekend while Cameron Howieson was an unused substitute following his loan switch from Burnley.

Howieson, Syers, Hume, winger Kyle Bennett and on-loan striker Emile Sinclair are options for Flynn should he wish to make changes in search of Rovers' first league win in six matches.

Is Van Gaal Just A Dutch Pardew?

A Mailbox of comparisons. Van Gaal is similar to Pardew, Wenger to Moyes, Van Persie to a spent force, and Pelle to a bloody gent. There's also plenty from last night...
