Sam Hird: Missing through suspension

Chesterfield manager Paul Cook expects to be forced into a couple of changes.

Cook told reporters at his pre-match press conference that two players are nursing injuries following Saturday's 1-0 home defeat to Gillingham, although he would not name those concerned.

Recent signings Jordan Clark, a midfielder on-loan from Barnsley, and Manchester City winger Alex Henshall made their debuts from the bench against the Gills and could come into contention for starting roles.

Captain Sam Hird will complete a two-match suspension while Ivorian striker Armand Gnanduillet continues to struggle with an abductor problem and winger Tendayi Darikwa (hernia) is around two weeks away from a return.

Meanwhile, young Spireites winger Jack Waddle will remain on loan at Sheffield FC for a further month. The 18-year-old joined the non-league club on an initial five-week deal in January.

Aldershot welcome back Danny Rose and Anthony Tonkin as new boss Andy Scott aims to continue his 100% record in charge.

On-loan midfielder Rose was ineligible for Saturday's 2-0 victory over parent club Fleetwood, Scott's first game at the helm having replaced sacked predecessor Dean Holdsworth just 24 hours earlier.

Left-back Tonkin, meanwhile, served the second game of his two-match suspension, yet both return to contention at the Proact Stadium as the Hampshire club go in search of three successive league wins for the first time since March last year.

Scott will also assess Lionel Ainsworth, Troy Brown and Jeff Goulding to see whether any of the injured trio are fit enough to be welcomed back.

A couple of unknown players are also carrying the usual minor bumps and bruises after the weekend and will be monitored.
