Alan Judge: Remains a doubt for Magpies

Influential midfielder Alan Judge remains an injury concern for Notts County.

Judge missed the goalless draw at Crawley on Saturday with an injury he suffered in the previous game against Leyton Orient.

The 24-year-old has been receiving intensive treatment to speed up his recovery and he is rated at 50-50 to be fit in time for Tuesday night.

"I don't know if he'll be fit, but fingers crossed he will be," said Magpies manager Chris Kiwomya.

"He had no chance of playing (against Crawley) because he got kneed in the back in the game against Orient and couldn't run."

Centre-half Dean Leacock will complete a two-match suspension and right-back Julian Kelly continues to nurse the calf problem that he seen him miss the last three games.

Preston will assess midfielder Jack King.

King limped out of Saturday's 2-0 home win over Stevenage after sustaining a hip injury and faces a late fitness test.

Club captain John Mousinho featured as a substitute against former club Boro on Saturday, his first action since January's FA Cup reverse at the hands of Millwall due to persistent hamstring problems, and he is pushing for inclusion once more.

Keith Keane returns from a two-match suspension and will hope to dislodge on-loan Leeds defender Paul Connolly at right-back.

Fellow full-back Scott Laird broke his leg during the Deepdale clash against the Magpies and makes his latest visit to a specialist this week, although the 24-year-old's return to action will not come before next season.

Midfielder Joel Byrom is around a fortnight away from a return to full training following hernia surgery.
