Dagenham's Sam Williams has been forced to undergo a knee operation and is likely to miss the remainder of the season.

The striker had surgery on his knee on Thursday, although it is not the same one in which he suffered a cruciate ligament injury last season.

Williams is now expected to miss the next eight weeks, taking him to the end of the campaign and the end of his current contract at Victoria Road, meaning he may possibly have played his last game for the Daggers.

Otherwise, interim manager Wayne Burnett has no injury or suspension problems and could well go with the same XI who were held to a 2-2 draw by 10-man Torquay in midweek.

Calvin Zola is a doubt for Burton.

Zola has been hampered by a hamstring injury in recent weeks and the problem resurfaced again against Aldershot on Tuesday night, forcing the striker off after 58 minutes.

Albion boss Gary Rowett will hope Billy Kee can recover from the knee knock that ruled him out in midweek. If Kee remains out and Zola is sidelined again, Matt Paterson could come into the starting line-up.

Leading scorer Jacques Maghoma also missed out against the Shots due to a knee injury sustained during last Saturday's 3-1 home win over Cheltenham and, like Kee, the winger will be assessed.

Paterson is joined by defenders Andrew Corbett and Marcus Holness and midfielders Jack Dyer, Jimmy Phillips and Chris Palmer in providing Rowett with options for changes.
