FT: Norwich 2 Reading 1

They've done it!!! The Norwich fans and players celebrate as if its the final day - as for Reading, they could be already down by the time they play QPR next Sunday now. But they played like a side who knew their fate.

Almost there now for Norwich - this will be a vital win and the crowd celebrate a free kick like a goal as it eats up the final few seconds

Reading come forward - Pogrebnyak shoots but its blocked and McCleary's acrobatic follow up is wide......5 minutes injury time

There's going to be another enforced change for Norwich - Snodgrass has picked up an injury and limps off to be replaced by Anthony Pilkington... Chris hughton will be hoping that's just cramp

Its going to be a nervy last five minutes but do Reading have the urgency to grab a point - to me today they've looked like a side who believe they're already doomed

Reading having a lot of possession but not really threatening to reach a dangerous area

Norwich make a change - Tettey is coming on for Elliott Bennett - just to sure things up... but has he scored the winner??

Its all Reading suddenly, wasteful shot this time from McCleary

The nerves have returned to Carrow Road

They've not looked like scoring at all, it was the first real break in the second half from the visitors and McCleary just thought he's have apop as he ran forward, it caught Bunn by suprise - swerved out of his reach into the corner

Reading have a rare forray forward here comes McCleary - WHAT A GOAL!!!

Here come Norwich again... Kamara wastes the chance as the ball is swept across the area, it comes back in, but Kamara slips as he hits it wide

Corner from Norwich, headed over by Bassong

Everyone's just catching their breath at Carrow Road after that amazing opening to the half...

Reading corner is easily cleared by Norwich

Free kick played in by Guthrie for Reading but its headed away - can they get back into the game by improving like they did in the first half?

Kamera heads on but this time Holt is offside

Snodgrass finds himself in space, a long range effort produces another save ... corner and Bassong this time powers a header at McCarthy.. all the play is in the Reading penalty area

From the corner Holt powers a header towards goal, McCarthy blocks again

Suddenly confidence is oozing from every pore of the Norwich side - Kamera this time forces a save from McCarthy

Elliott Bennett this time, composed inside the box and hit it into the ground - it looped up over the keeper and nestled in the corner - this place is rocking now... 44 seconds after the restart from the first goal - its 2-0 and Reading are staring down the barrall now

GOAL - Two in two minutes for Norwich!!!!!!!!!!

From the resulting corner Grant Holt powered a header which was well saved by McCarthy but it came out to Ryan Bennett and he put it in

Kamara sets off on a mazy run and lets fly from the edge, great shot pushed behind by McCarthy

So its as you were as we kick off

The teams are coming back out for the second half here at Carrow Road....don't think either manager has made any changes

Chris - Norwich are getting cornered to death. Better buck up after half time or this could end in sheer misery!

At the moment Stoke and Sunderland would move onto 37 points - leaving Norwich and Villa as the sides those below the line will be hoping to overhaul - Wigan are losing at West Ham at the moment

What are your thoughts then - tweet me @1rebs or email me at rebecca.stephenson@bskyb.com

Norwich started really well, refusing to give Reading any time on the ball, but they couldnt capitalise and Reading grew in confidence - Nigel Adkins side spurning some great opportunities to create chances through poor final deliveries and wasteful long-range shots

Half time here at Carrow Road - so what are you thinking??

Kamara finds the ball at his feet in front of goal - snap shot is saved well by McCarthy, who also catches the resulting corner

With Sunderland and Stoke now winning Norwich could be dragged further into the scrap

Two mins of added time

Norwich break but Elliott Bennett's cross is disappointing - straight into the hands of McCarthy

Chance for Norwich to put the ball into the box from a set piece but there's a strange lack of players in the box to challenge

Ball driven across the area - put over his own bar by Bassong from a yard out - but Norwich get away with it as the ref gives a goal kick

Reading work the ball across the field, but lack pace to make the most of the man-over

Barry - Norwich really need someone who can score goals. Lots of good play and build up but no one to finish it. Cant wait to see RVW at Carrow Road

Mike Dean rescues the home side this time, calling a foul on Bunn

The early game enthusiasm has been replaced with nerves and tension in the stands and some cries of frustration...Reading ending the half the stronger - they have another corner and finally you hear their pocket of fans

Blackman crosses, its headed out.. but it comes to Guthrie on the edge - but his shot is wild

The crowd aren't enjoying this spell of pressure from Reading, McCleary has another long-range shot but its weak

This one is headed away at the near post before it can reach Pobgrebnyak

Reading have their second corner of the game, Guthrie takes it... good header but its cleared for another

Stephen Pavey ‏- For god sake Norwich, put the ball in the net. I'm going to end up on blood pressure tablets at this rate

Encouraged by that shot they come forward again Pobgrebnyak has the ball in the area, but just can't get the shot away - marshalled well by Bassong

26 minutes and Reading have their first shot - Gareth McCleary from just outside the area, decent effort but just dipping over

Ball in by Holt is headed away

Wigan are now losing which is, of course, good news for both of these sides

Reading are starting to find their feet now after Norwich came out brightly

Only one goal in the Premier League almost halfway through the first half shows how tense these games are - plenty of desire on show but not the calm heads required to produce the quality

Free kick to Norwich on the edge of the box - but Snodgrass skies it - he tried to curl it to the back post but that was wild

Kim - Norwich need to win, they will win. The whole city is behind them!

Turner has gone down with no-one around him, looks like he'll have to go off - Michael Turner's being replaced by Ryan Bennett

The game is finally settling down from its 100mph start. Reading just enjoying a spell with the ball but Norwich have set out to pressurise high up the pitch

The ball is pulled across the box - Garrido arrives but its straight at the keeper

We've had a breathless 10 minutes dominated by the home side - Reading fans - is it win or bust for you today? are you confident? looks like your defence is going to have to survive an onslaught

Grant Holt is pulling wide a lot at the moment - surely Norwich want him on the end of the crosses not delivering them!

Norwich are really up for this - shoot-on-sight policy hits Snodgrass this time, but its wide

Holt crosses in towards Martin but its headed clear by Gunter - fantastic defending

...but its headed clear easily at the near post

I don't think Reading have got out of their own half yet, but they finally get a break and after some nerves in the Norwich box they have a corner...

Injury here to Pogrebnyak after a kneee to the lower back. but he should be ok

Elliott Bennett has another go from outside the box, about a yard wide - but he's getting closer!

Cross into the area causes a scramble in the Reading defence, but they get let off as a foul is given on Chris Gunter

Norwich with some good early possession and the first attack results in a sighter-shot from Bennett over the bar

So, with the atmosphere reaching fever pitch and the annoucer winding up the home crowd (no sign of Delia yet though!) we're ready for kick off - the huddles take place... and the crowd make full use of their free 'clappers' - lets go - keep letting me know your thoughts though

Martin Palmer - Confident Norwich will take a giant step to securing premiership status this afternoon, with a hard fought 2 - 1 win over Reading, Holt with a brace

Meanwhile Reading have definitely improved since Nigel Adkins took over - but is it too late? If the lose here they could be relegated before they play again

So Carrow Road is bathed in sunshine as we approach the kick off - and the crowd are currently saluting the club's U18's who qualified for the FA Youth Cup Final this week. there's nerves though - you can feel the tension and desire coming from the stands.

Do you fancy a flutter this afternoon??? - Norwich are 8/11 to pick up just a second win in 17 with Reading struggling to attract support at 7/2. The Canaries have shared the spoils in more games than any other Premier League side this season and are 11/4 for another draw, while Grant Holt is the 9/2 favourite to open the scoring.

DJR ‏- NCFC need to stay calm and the fans too, it will be very noisy but we must keep the nerves from being transmitted to the players

neville drewry ‏- Pull together today and make it a great atmosphere, lets hope for a bit of luck and carry on from U18

paul - Biggest day of the season and if the we play like last week 3pts should be on the table by 5pm

Drew ‏- nice early goal to calm all nerves then onward and upward

Kristian Clarke þ- Mixture of excitement and nervousness. Carrow Road will be beautiful in the sun, especially after a 2-1 win!

Here's your team news

I'm Rebecca Stephenson and I'll be taking you though the action this afternoon - but I also want to hear your thoughts - tweet me @1rebs or email me rebecca.stephenson@bskyb.com and I'll get the best of the comments up online as we go through.
