FT: Fulham 2 Reading 4. Nigel Adkins bags his first win as the Royals' boss after an entertaining second-half produced a glut of goals, which Reading edged to earn themselves abit of pride before they ply their trade in the Championship.

Four added minutes...

89
CHANCE! Rodallega tries and overhead-kick, doesn't connect properly, falls to Kacaniklic, who beats McCarthy but it is blocked on the line by Morrison.

88
WOODWORK!!! Rodallega's header flicks the outside of the post from a Kacaniklic cross.

86
Fulham look they have lost all fight after that killer fourth goal from Karacan. Poor defending cost them.

83
Karacan drills a low shot past Schwarzer to extend his side's lead. Poor clearing header from Hangeland is punished.

83
GOAL!!! Fulham 2 Reading 4 (Karacan 83).

81
Robson-Kanu comes off, to be replaced by Daniel Carrico

79
WOODWORK! Rodallega hits a tremendous strike on the bounce inside the box, but sees his effort come back off the crossbar.

77
And the game takes another twist. Poor marking from the Reading backline, leaving Ruiz free to head a Kacaniklic cross past McCarthy to put his side back in it.

77
GOAL!!! Fulham 2 (Ruiz 77) Reading 3.

75
Super-sub does it again! Karacan plays a hopeful ball over the top, which Le Fondre nods around Schwarzer and slots home.

75
GOAL!!! Fulham 1 Reading 3 (Le Fondre 75).

73
It is Reading on the attack again, but McCleary volleys over when in a good position.

72
Kacaniklic on for Duff for home side.

72
Double change for Reading. Adam Le Fondre and Nick Blackman on in place of McAnuff and Pogrebnyak

70
Best move that the home side have put together all game. Ruiz plays in into Rodallega's feet, who holds it up well, waits for Ruiz's run, and the Costa Rican collects well and slots home.

70
GOAL!!! Fulham 1 (Bryan Ruiz 70) Reading 2.

67
Danny Guthrie tries his luck from a long range free-kick, which is well hit but Schwarzer saves easily.

64
Emanuelson drifts a cross to the backpost, which finds Berbatov in acres of space, but he opts to volley first time, and the ball flies way over the top.

62
Awful defending from Fulham allows McCleary the time and space to run at their defence, his shot is blocked, but it falls to Robson-Kanu, who has time to pick his spot and curl Reading further into the lead.

62
GOAL!!! Fulham 0 Reading 2 (Robson-Kanu 62).

60
ANOTHER SHOUT FOR A PENALTY! This time for Fulham, with Berbatov going down under challenge from Stephen Kelly, but again it is waved away by referee Swarbrick.

58
ANOTHER PENALTY SHOUT! Robson-Kanu once again does well to hold off two Fulham defenders, goes down under challenge from Richardson, but nothing given.

56
Kieran Richardson comes on to replace John Arne Riise.

55
SCRAMBLE! Schwarzer comes out to claim the ball from Pogrebnyak, flaps a little, the ball bobbles past him, but is cleared off the line.

53
All reading at the moment. Fulham just can't get hold of the ball. Playing some great football.

51
Robson-Kanu gets into great position, tries the stepover, gets his shot away, but only finds the side-netting. Should do better from there.

48
Greta attempt by Rodallega, pivoting on the spot, and firing a powerful strike at goal, which McCarthy does well to catch.

46
Karacan gets on the end of a McAnuff through pass, and prods towards goal, but Schwarzer gets just enough on it to keep it out.

45
No changes for either side for the second-half. Where do we think this game is heading? Get in touch!

45
Second-half is underway...

HT: Fulham 0 Reading 1. Robson-Kanu's expertly taken penalty separates these sides at the break. Fulham much better after early change. Still need to improve if they are to turn things around.

45
One minute of added time...

43
PENALTY SHOUT! Guthrie goes down in the box, looks theatrical, and referee waves it away. Fulham players want a yellow card for a dive.

42
Duff again with the ball in, which is cleared well by Reading backline. Just about holding onto lead.

38
Both teams now starting to play with abit of freedom, trying things they wouldn't normally attempt.

36
McCarthy's poor kick is nearly punished, but Ruiz elects to shoot when teammates in good position. Straight at Reading stopper.

34
Substitution has made a huge difference to Fulham, who have much more purpose about them. More direct now.

32
CHANCE!! Rodallega is picked out by Ruiz header, in the six-yard box, has time to bring it down, but McCarthy is out quickly to block. Great chance!

31
Ruiz is fouled by Karacan, and gives The Cottagers chance to get the ball into the box.

29
Surprising early change for Fulham. Rodallega comes on in place of Karagounis. Doesn't seem to be injured. Must be tactical. Harsh to single out the Greek if it was.

27
Philippe Senderos is the first player to go into the book, scything down former teammate Pavel Pogrebnyak.

24
McCleary picked out well on the edge of the penalty area, tries to curl an effort towards goal, but not enough whip on it and it flies harmlessly wide.

22
Reading double up well on Duff, who seems to be Fulham's best chance of creating an opening. Frustrating so far for hosts.

20
Karagounis overhits it but Emanuelson does well to retrieve it, cross to Berbatov, who swivels, gets his shot away, but it is blocked.

19
Fulham starting to see abit more of the ball. Duff wins the corner as he tries to get a cross into the box. Better.

17
Reading playing the ball around with relative ease, and the home fans are getting restless as their side can't get near the ball.

King Jones still thinks Fulham will turn it around: "Not much to talk about in this encounter, since Reading are only playing for pride. But still will be interesting to see how it turns out. Think it will be 3-1 to Fullham Ruiz 2 and Berbatov 1."

14
Fully deserved lead for the Royals, who have had much the better of the early possession.

12
After Riise's foul on Robson-Kanu just inside the box, the Welshman gets up himself and coolly slots home the spot-kick past Schwarzer.

12
Fulham 0 Reading 1 (Robson-Kanu pen 12)

11
Riise clumsily brings down Hal Robson-Kanu who is taking it himself.

11
PENALTY TO READING!!!

10
Gunter tries to play the ball long down the line, but puts too much on it and the ball rolls out for a throw to Fulham.

8
All Reading still, home team just can't get hold of the ball. When they do they are giving it away far too quickly.

6
Visitors with much of the possession so far, with Fulham happy for them to have it in their own half.

4
Guthrie whips a deep corner in, with Morrison meets with a diving header, but Riise does well to block and clear the danger.

3
With eight defeats in their previous ten games, Reading are going to have to defend better than that if they are to emerge victorious today.

1
SAVE! Lovely floated cross from Damien Duff, is met by the onrushing Bryan Ruiz, who looks set to score, but Alex McCarthy is equal to it, saving well low to his left.

1
Hal Robson-Kanu tries to get to the byline, looks like he is fouled, but nothing given by Swarbrick.

1
Fulham get us underway here.

Neil Swarbrick is the man in the middle.

Let's hope for a repeat of the 3-3 draw at The Madejski the last time these two met.

The teams are in the tunnel...

Three defeats on the trot have caused Martin Jol's men to slip into the bottom half of the table and Reading are 4/1 for an away win. Dimitar Berbatov has a solid record against the Royals, having bagged five times in just four games against them, making him good value to open the scoring on Saturday.

The Cottagers have relied heavily on Dimitar Berbatov's goals this season, and aside from own goals and a rare Sascha Riether strike, the Bulgarian is the only man to get on the socresheet for Fulham in their last 11 league games.

However the home side are hardly in a rich vein of form themselves, losing their last three in a row without scoring a goal in the process.

They have lost 11 of their last 12 on the road, so the omens aren't good.

With the Royals now relegated, the pressure is off. Will go for broke to try and end the season strongly?

Three changes for Fulham as Manolev, Kacaniklic & Richardson miss out.

One change for Reading, with Nick Blackman making way, being replaced by Hal Robson-Kanu.

Subs : Etheridge, Frimpong, Richardson, Hughes, Rodallega, Manolev, Kacaniklic.

Fulham XI: Schwarzer, Riise, Senderos, Hangeland, Riether, Karagounis, Ruiz, Duff, Enoh, Emanuelson, Berbatov.

Subs: Taylor, Harte, Pearce, Carrico, Blackman, Hunt, Le Fondre

Pulis To Liverpool Might Just Work

One Mailboxer believes that Tony Pulis managing Liverpool isn't as silly as you might think. Plus Bournemouth aren't that romantic and we're all guilty of ignoring Everton...

That's the view of Liverpool fans in the mailbox as the Reds continue to struggle without their talisman. Suarez isn't doing particularly well at Barca either, it should be said...
