Stevens: Ruled out of tie

Torquay will be without winger Danny Stevens.

The 25-year-old missed his side's final 3-0 pre-season friendly win at Weston-super-Mare after picking up a thigh injury in training and manager Martin Ling has confirmed Stevens will be unable to recover in time to face the Foxes.

Fellow wingman Lloyd Macklin is a major doubt after he sustained a knee injury in training while midfielders Nathan Craig (foot) and Saul Halpin (ankle) are out.

Ling will also be without summer signing Billy Bodin, who is on international duty after being selected for Geraint Williams' Wales Under-21 squad for their European Championship qualifier against Armenia.

Anthony Knockaert will miss out for Leicester.

Knockaert reported for international duty with France's Under-21 squad over the weekend and will attend training camp in Clairefontaine until Wednesday, rejoining his Foxes team-mates the following day ahead of Saturday's Championship opener against Peterborough.

Fellow new arrivals Ritchie de Laet, Matty James, Marko Futacs, Zak Whitbread and Jamie Vardy are all in contention, however.

City boss Nigel Pearson said: "Jamie's back was a little bit tight, but he's a player that plays a lot of games so I'm not too worried about that.

"The players have all worked exceptionally hard in pre-season and, for the most part, they've put themselves into a situation where it's going to be a tough choice.

"But because the squad is not exceptionally big this year, all the players are going to be required and everyone will play a significant part this season."
