Taylor: Sidelined for Brewers

Taylor: Sidelined for Brewers

Burton boss Gary Rowett is likely to be without Cleveland Taylor.

The Brewers winger limped off during Saturday's 4-0 win over Oxford after picking up a knock and is a major doubt.

Fellow midfielder Jack Dyer deputised against United and is expected to fill in again.

Attacking duo Calvin Zola and Jacques Maghoma are certain to keep their places after netting a brace each at the weekend.

Chris Palmer is still doubtful with the ankle injury that kept him out of that fixture and faces a late fitness test.

But Rowett will be reluctant to make too many unforced changes to his starting XI as they aim to extend their winning streak to three matches.

York boss Gary Mills may name an unchanged side.

The Minstermen have an impressive record on the road so far and Saturday's point at Exeter maintained their unbeaten start to the season away from home.

Mills has a fully-fit squad at his disposal following Scott Kerr's return to training last week but the York skipper is still a week or two away from his targeted October return.

Patrick McLaughlin was recalled to the starting XI against the Grecians following international duty with Northern Ireland Under-21s and is expected to keep his place in midfield.

Midfield duo Jon Challinor and Matty Blair are both pushing hard for a starting role but Mills will be reluctant to make many changes to the side that has avoided defeat in their last six outings.
