Goalkeeper Chris Weale will return for Shrewsbury while Asa Hall is also pushing for a starting berth.

Weale made way for Joe Anyon to make his Town debut in Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash against Crewe, but the summer signing was forced off after just 20 minutes nursing a slight hamstring strain and will be assessed ahead of the weekend

Weale duly took over but was unable to prevent a 2-1 defeat, which leaves Shrews winless in five games.

Midfielder Hall came off the bench and needed just three minutes to net Town's consolation, before again finding the net for the club's reserves less than 24 hours later, pressing his claims for a starting berth against the Saddlers.

Tom Bradshaw also scored for the second string and will compete with Ryan Doble for a place alongside Marvin Morgan in attack, with strikers Terry Gornell (knee) and Sam Winnall (hamstring) continuing to miss out along with left-back Joe Jacobson (ankle).

Walsall will be without Will Grigg but Florent Cuvelier is expected to be available despite his international commitments.

Striker Grigg is away with Northern Ireland's senior squad as they prepare for Tuesday's World Cup qualifier in Portugal.

Influential midfielder Cuvelier lines up for Belgium's Under-21 side in Greece on Friday but will fly straight back to the midlands and, should he not suffer any injury, will start.

Adam Chambers (hamstring) managed 45 minutes for the club's reserves on Wednesday night and is pushing for selection, but twin brother James remains sidelined with his thigh injury.

The Saddlers will be backed by a sell-out 1,400-strong travelling support for the encounter.

'Costa Is A Bad Man. Suarez Is Not'

That's quite some claim. And yes, unfortunately we are still talking about this. We also have mails on Ronaldinho, possible replacements for Yaya Toure and more...

Red Mist Better Than Calculated Costa?

Hmmm. We're not sure about this argument - one Mailbox says Luis Suarez is easier to forgive because he is a little loco. We also have mails on Studge and more...
