Tiote: Absent with calf injury

With the tie level at 1-1 after last week's first leg in Athens, Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote will miss out again as he continues his fight for fitness.

The Ivory Coast international has not played since damaging a calf muscle in the 2-1 Premier League victory over Tottenham on the opening day of the season.

Striker Shola Ameobi (hamstring) and midfielder Sammy Ameobi (knee) have also been ruled out, and manager Alan Pardew will once again use the depth of his squad ahead of Sunday's league clash with Aston Villa, although he has indicated that 17-year-old frontman Adam Campbell is unlikely to make the 18.

Newcastle (from): Krul, Elliot, Harper, Santon, R Taylor, Tavernier, Perch, Coloccini, Williamson, S Taylor, Simpson, Cabaye, Gutierrez, Obertan, Marveaux, Gosling, Anita, Bigirimana, Amalfitano, Cisse, Ba, Campbell.
