Robin van Persie: Returns to the starting line-up

Striker Robin van Persie will return to the Manchester United starting line-up as they open their Champions League campaign against Galatasaray at Old Trafford.

The Dutchman was limited to a subsitutes' role in the weekend win over Wigan as Sir Alex Ferguson vowed to take no chances in Europe following last term's group stage debacle.

Shinji Kagawa and Antonio Valencia are also expected to be recalled, along with Patrice Evra, who has recovered from a minor knock.
