Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed he has made his peace with Ferdinand over the veteran centre-half's weekend T-shirt protest but with a Premier League trip to Chelsea on Sunday, United have opted to do without the defender and his captain.

Alex Buttner will replace Evra, whilst Shinji Kagawa, Tom Cleverley and Ryan Giggs, who all sat out Saturday's win over Stoke are set to return as United look to extend their 100% record in the competition.
