Torres heads off with Sturridge coming on for the final few minutes.
Bertrand can't head the ball into the path of Mata, and Luiz is then cautioned for a ludicrous tackle on Adriano.
Luiz steps out to regain possession, but he clatters into Willian, a controversial decision initially as no foul was given but Shakhtar break regardless, with Srna unlucky not to win a corner.
Shakhtar look for a late break, but Ilsinho lets the ball trickle out of play when trying to hold off Bertrand and it's a Chelsea goal-kick.
Great chance for Chelsea. Cahill flicks on Mata's corner, but Ivanovic can't poke home from close range as Willian makes the clearance.

Oscar makes progress forward, before losing his footing at the time of shooting. Mata's attempt to lift the ball back into the box then goes for a corner.
Mikel doesn't get the decision he wanted in a collision with Hubschman, while Teixeira comes off in place of Ilsinho.
Cahill gets his head to Willian's corner, a touch which carries the ball out of play as Shakhtar maintain posssession from the throw-in.
Rat manages to get a cross into the box, with a terrific clearance from Luiz preventing the ball finding Adriano at the near post.
There are appeals for a Chelsea penalty as Ramires goes down under Srna, with the replay showing the referee may have got that one wrong.
Mikel and Oscar exchange passes, with the latter firing at the near post, where Pyatov's handling is tested as Torres is denied the chance to poke home from close range.
Fortunately, the stretcher isn't needed and Kucher is able to continue, as play resumes with a Chelsea free-kick.
Torres can't feed the ball into Mata as the hosts defend well through Rakitskiy. Kucher then collides with Oscar and both men are left down clutching knocks.
Hazard takes a tumble under Fernandinho as Chelsea begin to up the pressure. The attack moves to the right side, where Mata's speculative effort flies wide.
Mikel gets his head to Mata's free-kick towards the far post, but the offside flag is rightfully raised and the score remains level, despite an excellent header from Mikel past Pyatov.
Torres takes a tumble under Hubschman, a tackle that arguably could have resulted in a booking, but regardless, Chelsea have a free-kick on the edge of the area.
Fernandinho tackles Hazrad, and the referee awards the free-kick, which did seem a tad harsh. Chelsea look to maintain some momentum in the final third but they are forced back by Shakhtar's midfield.
Pyatov again shows signs of being uncomfortable on the ball, as he clears straight to Mata, but Torres is offside as he knocks the ball back through.
Willian wants a foul for a nudge from Mikel, and he is quite unlucky not to get the free-kick there, as Chelsea resume possession.
Torres holds up the ball waiting for options, and it's Hazard who makes the run but Torres' ball again only clips the head of the furthest man up as Pyatov claims.
Adriano battles with Luiz, but the decision goes against him as Luiz earns a lucky break. He arguably should have cleared the danger much earlier before the striker got involved.
Cahill just about sorts his feet out to play back to Cech under the presence of Willian, who continues to be marvellous tonight.
Oscar forces the issue with Kucher, and the visitors have to play out of danger, which they do well as Srna stampedes down the right, before Bertrand makes the tackle.
Hazard's delivery remarkably sails through the whole crowd without taking a touch, with Torres the one nearest to making any contact.
Hazard skips away from Teixeira excellently, and the first yellow card of the game is shown as the Shakhtar man tugs down Hazard afterwards.
Shakhtar have started brilliantly since the break, and Chelsea are mere bystanders for the time being as the visitors pull all the strings.
Another let off for Chelsea as the corner falls to Rat, who rattles the ball off the post, before Cahill desperately clears away.
Willian's super skill allows Srna in again once more, with Bertrand staying firm to concede a corner.
Cech carelessly clears straight into the path of Fernandinho, as Chelsea's defence is becoming increasingly strained.
Mata is clattered into by Hubschman but the referee waves play on, with Luiz lucky in the end that a pass back didn't result in a swfit counter attack from the visitors.
Bertrand is found on the overlap, and the left back wins Chelsea a corner as the impressive Srna makes the challenge.
Mikel looks to restore Chelsea's lead, but he is probably the last person you'd want shooting from range for the Blues and it somewhat predictably ends up wide.
It's wonderful football again from the visitors, with Fernandinho heavily involved before Srna finds Willian in the area once more and the coveted forward applies the finish!

Shakhtar aren't playing at their best, or is Chelsea's defense vastly improved? Willian's goal showed signs of a comeback but they haven't since proved it. End result 3-2."

Luiz heads the ball right into Willian's path, but recovers to force Adriano away from goal, with just the one minute of stoppage time added on.
Pyatov uncertainly punches away Mata's delivery, but Oscar's chip back into the box is clever, but nowhere near the path of a Chelsea player at the near post.
Oscar nearly strikes again with a clever shot at the near post, forcing Pyatov into a fingertip save.
Hazard turns on the style, showing some divine skill to confuse Rat, who is eventually helped out by Kucher.
Luiz advances to join the attack, but lovely passing between Mata and Torres is eventually ended. Chelsea look fantastic going forward at every opportunity right now.
It's a stunning goal from the Brazilian. Pyatov sprints out of his goal to head the ball, but only into the path of Oscar who fires the ball over the keeper and into the net.

Adriano hussles to keep the ball alive, and does well to win his side a corner. Srna's cross in is cleared by Cahill though as Chelsea regroup.
Ramires can't force the ball into Torres' path, but Shakhtar, suddenly on the back foot, are sitting back for the time being as the hosts start to grow in confidence.
Brilliant battling from Ramires, but Torres trips as Chelsea fail to generate any momentum for an attack. It really is end to end at the moment.
Chelsea counter, with bodies piling forward, but at the crucial time Ivanovic plays a poor ball into Hazard, allowing Rat to control and earn his team a respite.
Torres flicks on Mata's ball this time, but Chelsea are really asking a lot of their number nine, with no support to link up with the striker's knock on.
Hazard tracks back to win back the ball, but Chelsea lose out once more, with Luiz clearing on the second attempt from Fernandinho's ball into the box.
Wonderful play from Shakhtar as Adriano beautifully holds the ball up for Teixeira who drills a shot inches wide of the post.
Fernandinho turns away from Ramires, with Srna now involved, but Chelsea are much more organised than in the first 10 minutes, allowing the visitors to knock the ball around without advancing too far.
Another Ivanovic delivery nearly finds Torres at the near post but the striker fails to get a touch, admittedly due to good marking from Rakitskiy.
Torres is surrounded by Shahktar players, and as Srna makes the inevitable tackle on the striker, a terrific run from Teixeira ends with a foul from Mikel.
Patience is key in Shakhtar's attacks, and Chelsea are forced to defend, which they do with some success as Teixeira is judged offside from Mkhitaryan's chip.
Mikel cuts out a link-up between Willian and Adriano, and the midfielder sets Chelsea forward. Hazard can't latch on to Ramires' pass though and the visitors regain possession.
Kucher beats Torres to Ivanovic's curling ball in from the right, and Chelsea keep the pressure alive through Hazard, until Oscar concedes posssession to Hubschman.
Mkhitaryan finds himself in a great position but fires an air shot at goal, and Luiz is relieved to take over. Both sides looked incredibly likely to score in virtually every attack here.
Rat heads away Ivanovic's clearance, but Cahill keeps the ball alive until losing control on the byline. Straight up the other end, Teixeira lets rip from the edge of the area but can only fire wide.
Srna incredibly brings an end to a lovely move with a wild ball across the park. A relief for Chelsea who looked stretched during the attack.
Ramires looks to force his way past Hubschman, and the Shakhtar man concedes a free-kick as he prevents the Blues midfielder going past him.
Shakhtar probe, playing some throughly brilliant football in the process. Ivanovic spots the danger from Willian's pass and makes the interception.
Torres shows some exquisite skill after a one-two with Mata. He inexplicably fires at the near post when the pass back was surely the right option. Shakhtar goal-kick as a result.
Hubschman sets Shakhtar away, and they do look menacing on the front foot as Ivanovic forces Willian back, before Fernandinho's stunning long drive draws a good save from Cech.
An incredible corner first slips through Bertrand's legs, before Cech's clumsy parry nearly gives Srna an open goal! The Blues clear in the end but they look far from secure defensively right now.
Ivanovic neatly clears away the delivery, but Ramires is forced into some tight marking on Fernandinho who earns his side another corner.
Kucher slides in on Torres crucially, after some excellent skill from the striker and Shahktar then win a corner on the counter attack.
If the first ten minutes is anything to go by, this is going to be a classic. For the time being though, Chelsea pass the ball around nicely with Shakhtar holding their shape.

Terrific work from Srna down the right nearly results in a chance for Willian but he scuffs his effort and Chelsea break. As Torres storms forward though, he can only draw a save from Pyatov with the goal gaping.
It's a horrow show from Shakhtar as Kucher passes back to Pyatov, before Torres charges him down rapidly, the keeper's clearance clipping the Chelsea striker and rolling into the net!

A lovely turn from Ramires draws Fernandinho into making a careless tackle, giving Chelsea a free-kick from again around 30 yards.
Rakitskiy's powerful effort creeps towards the far post but Cech watches it well and catches it impreesively.
Luiz doesn't make the strongest of starts, conceding possession and then tripping Adriano to concede a free-kick 30 yards from goal.
Chelsea nervily clear away the first corner of the match, after Willian's delivery caused initial confusion in the hosts' defence.

Blues boss Di Matteo resists the urge to recall his captain after the defender completed his racism ban but drafts in the fit-again Luiz and Juan Mata, with Ryan Bertrand replacing the injured Ashley Cole. Group E leaders Shakhtar name the same XI which dominated Chelsea in the reverse fixture two weeks earlier. Chelsea sources suggested Terry's omission was for reasons of match fitness, the defender having played just one competitive game in the last month.
