FT: Juventus 3 Chelsea 0

Full Time. Juventus 3 Chelsea 0. The European champions are on the brink after this defeat. Juve by far the better side and run out deserved winners. Stay on the site for report, player ratings and quotes to follow shortly.

That's a mistake by Cech. He rushes off his line and Giovinco slots the ball past him. No need to come out for that as Cole was on the cover.

Goal! Sebastian Giovinco!

Pogba on for Quagliarella.

Buffon punches the corner away.

Cahill wins a corner from a long throw.

Marchisio booked. He will miss the trip to Shakhtar now.

Juventus with some intricate football on the edge of the Chelsea box but it comes to nothing.

Torres cuts the ball back to Oscar but the Brazilian turns back onto his stronger foot and the chance is gone. Wrong decision.

Giovinco on for Vucinic.

Moses does well down the right and then Torres wins a corner. But Oscar's cross is straight at Buffon.

Hazard with a free-kick but his cross from the left is easy for Buffon.

Foul given against Bonucci.

Pirlo sees a shot blocked and that's another corner.

Ramires booked for a foul on Chiellini.

Chance! Vucinic stabs at the ball in a central position. All he has to do is keep it down but it squirts away off his boot. For a player of his class, he's had a poor night despite the home side impressing.

Vucinic shoots wide. Juventus have not been very ruthless here. Seem happy with 2-0.

Asamoah shoots wide with a wild effort.

Chelsea all over the place now as they search for goals at all cost. Plenty of space for Juventus.

Torres is coming on for Mikel.

Sky Bet update: With Juve cruising, we've made Chelsea 20/1 to claw a draw out of this, but no next goalscorer is now 5/4.

Vucinic just fails to connect with a header to make it 3-0 as Juventus expose gaps down the Chelsea left.

Still no Fernando Torres for Chelsea.

Lichtsteiner replaced by Caceres.

Fantastic atmosphere in Turin now. Chelsea really have to push for a goal and that will surely leave gaps for the home side to exploit.

Asamoah pulls the ball back and Vidal is in space running in on the ball on the edge of the box. He side-foots the ball and it deflects off the heel of Ramires past Cech. Chelsea in all sorts of trouble now.

Goal! Arturo Vidal!

Quagliarella with another lazy shot when well-placed to put Lichtsteiner or Vidal in. Well wide.

Moses for Azpilicueta.

Bonucci heads wide.

Quagliarella one-on-one with Cech and he tries to round the goalkeeper. Cech stays on his feet and Juve only get a corner.

Pirlo takes but Oscar clears from the knockdown.

Cech with another save. Corner.

Sky Bet update: Juventus remain 2/7 to see this one through, while Chelsea are now 7/2 to earn a draw and 10/1 to turn this one on its head.

Pirlo extricates himself from a tricky position and Juve push again. Difficult spell for Chelsea this. Quagliarella gets a shot away on the turn but Cech saves.

Vidal has two chances to cross but Ramires blocks.

This is such an open game. With Shakhtar now ahead in Denmark, Chelsea need a result and they are pushing. Juventus desperate to finish this off too.

Pirlo with a foul on Oscar. It's all getting a bit heated in Turin.

Mata scythed down by Chiellini. Free-kick in a great position but Mata hits the wall.

Huge penalty shout! Vucinic gets behind Cahill and appears to be pulled down but the referee gives nothing. Replays suggest Cahill leaned on rather than pulled Vucinic and he went down easily.

Poor start to the second half from Chelsea. They need to keep the ball better.

Vidal with a left-footed effort from the right edge of the box but Cech saves comfortably.

Juve pushing high up the field. They want a second. That won't be it though. Vucinic wasteful twice within a matter of moments.

Asamoah swings over another dangerous cross.

Juventus kick-off and the second half is underway.

Half Time. That's the end of the first half and Juventus lead 1-0. A really bright game but Chelsea need to find a response to Quagliarella's goal. Plenty for Di Matteo to think about.

Dangerous cross from Hazard but Chiellini clears.

Oscar looking for space in the area. He manages to get a shot away but it is high and wide.

Sky Bet update: Chelsea are now 8/1 to take a win away from Turin tonight, with Juventus now 2/7 having taken the lead. The draw, meanwhile, can be backed at 4/1.

Lichtsteiner wins a corner off Cole.

Marchisio tries to thread a pass through to Vucinic but David Luiz has read it well.

Bonucci booked for a cynical body-check on Hazard.

Astonishing scenes! A mix-up in the Chelsea box and Cole has to clear the ball off the line. And then Chelsea break within seconds. Mata has the chance to equalise but his effort is blocked brilliantly by Buffon. What a game!

Pirlo does well to latch onto a loose ball in the centre and then advances forward. He fires off a weak shot but Quagliarella is able to deflect the ball and it wrongfoots Cech. The keeper gets a hand to it but cannot keep it out.

Goal! Fabio Quagliarella deflects in Andrea Pirlo's shot!

Chance! Pirlo with a poor pass straight to Ramires and the midfielder then goes on a trademark driving run before slotting a pass through to Oscar. The youngster checks onto his favoured right foot but sees his shot blocked.

Hazard breaks and flicks a ball through to Oscar on the edge of the box. But for once the Brazilian's touch lets him down.

Scrappy passage of play as Chelsea look to relieve the pressure. Oscar looking dangerous when he gets on the ball.

Sweeping move from Juve gets Lichtsteiner away again but Cahill is there to block the near-post cross.

Asamoah cannot quite get on the end of a right-wing cross. Could have done better there.

Oscar lays the ball off to Ramires in a rare Chelsea attack but the Brazilian shoots wide.

Juventus crowd getting a little frustrated as the home side misplace a few passes.

Free-kick to Chelsea and Mata loops the ball into the box but Buffon claims.

Pirlo drives in the free-kick but Cech holds onto the low effort.

Free-kick to Juventus on the edge of the 18-yard box.

Vucinic with a smart turn and fires off a right-footed shot that Cech gets down well to save.

Cech slowing things down over the goal-kick. Chelsea will feel the chances could come if they ride this storm.

And another effort from Quagliarella, this time in the right channel. Cech saves comfortably again.

Quagliarella with a good run in the left channel but his side-footed effort is easy for Cech to deal with.

Wonderful move from Juve as Quagliarella and Vucinic combine to make the most of a Pirlo pass but Lichtsteiner is just offside.

Cole tries to loft the ball forward but Chiellini chests back to Buffon.

This is some spell of pressure at the moment. Ramires is fouled to relieve it momentarily.

Clever corner. Pirlo with the low ball in that is laid off for Lichtsteiner to shoot and Cech saves for another corner.

These corners are an opportunity for Chelsea too but this time Oscar cannot break. Now Quagliarella wins another one...

Ramires concedes another corner.

Ivanovic heads away Pirlo's corner.

Quite an open game. Both sides looking a threat. Not sure Di Matteo wanted things this open. Corner to Juve.

Asamoah offside. An indication of how far forward the wing-backs are in this Juventus set-up.

Chance! Superb run from Oscar as he dribbles away on the break, wriggling free of numerous challenges. He then slides a pass through to Hazard who has the chance to finish from close range the ball is deflected just wide. A reminder of the threat Chelsea pose on the break.

Good atmosphere. Chelsea need to take the sting out of this for a bit.

Pirlo chips the ball to the near post but it's wasted.

Quagliarella wins a corner.

Awful effort from Ivanovic from distance. Skewed horribly wide.

Chance! What a save from Cech! Cross from the left and Lichtsteiner steals in ahead of Cole but the goalkeeper saves from point-blank range. Side-footed finish ricochets off Cech and onto the post.

Cech with a calm pass out from the back as he threads one out to Ramires.

Now the home side get on the ball and it's a characteristically patient build-up from Juve. They work the ball out to Asamoah who crosses but Marchisio's header is a tame one.

Confident start from the visitors. Juventus waiting for their first touch as we enter the second minute.

Chelsea kick-off and we are underway in Turin.

Thanks for your feedback. The players are emerging from the tunnel and we'll be underway shortly.

And a reminder: If Shakhtar and Chelsea win their games tonight, both sides will progress to the last 16.

One encouraging stat for the visitors. Juventus have won just one of their last 14 games in Europe against English opposition (W1 D6 L7) including one defeat and two draws with Chelsea.

Joe: "Can't see Chelsea keeping a clean sheet away from home."

Zawwar: "Should be a cracker of a match. Chelsea defensive but still the attacking three starting, and Juventus going for a win."

Akogwu: "Kudos to RDM for this line-up. I pray it works out for him; Torres has been a failure. A win for Chelsea tonight will definitely mean a permanent place on the bench for Torres. I reckon a 2-1 win for the Blues."

Ashley: "Chelsea to win tonight... 2-1. Hazard and Mata with goals and the likely blunder from our poor defence for Juve."

Sky Bet have been in touch to let us know that Eden Hazard is now proving a popular bet to score first. He's at 8/1.

Arthur: "Chelsea will have to be disciplined at the back with this team, and that includes you Mr Luiz."

Of course, Juventus aren't a one-man team. If the wing-backs get forward and Vidal and Marchisio make runs off Mikel then it could still be a tough night for Chelsea even if it's a quiet one for Pirlo.

Good point by the last poster. Di Matteo was happy with the job Oscar did tactically against Pirlo in the last game between the sides and, with Hazard dropping off, the plan may be to crowd the playmaker.

Muhummad: "I think it's gonna be one packed game in midfield. If Oscar can stay on Pirlo and prevent him from pulling the strings, Chelsea can win this 2-1. Goals from Ramires and Oscar. Juve to score from a blunder by Luiz."

Joe: "Strange that RDM has left out Torres, now there's no aerial threat! I do still believe he can produce but (this) may be his last chance!"

Evan has been in touch on Twitter. He says: "Chelsea overloading the defence is a correct decision, but only if the attackers play their part as well. Mata to run the show."

Oscar will fancy his chances though. The Brazilian has scored four goals in four Champions League appearances from just six shots on target.

Chelsea have won just one of their last six Champions League games against Italian opposition (W1 D2 L3).

Juventus are unbeaten in their last five home games against English opposition, but four of those have been draws.

Pat is also going for goals... "Definitely goals in this game, defensive set up or not, going for 2-2 or 3-2 either, come on Chelsea, you can do this."

Akshet likes the team that Di Matteo has gone for. He has emailed in to say: "Honestly, this is the best line-up Di Matteo has put forward. Azpilicueta is great in attack and will definitely help back up Ivanovic in defence. Hazard in a 'false nine' position is genius. It works perfectly with Messi at Barcelona and since Chelsea have started to play similar to them, this is the step in the right direction. I hope this line-up does well because on paper, it should. 2-1 Chelsea.

Any thoughts or predictions after seeing those line-ups? Let me know by email at adam.bate@bskyb.com or on Twitter @GhostGoal.

Some flexibility in that formation and plenty of quality but it does hint at a cautious approach from Roberto Di Matteo. He's essentially named five defenders and five midfielders.

Interesting team selection from Chelsea. No Fernando Torres with Eden Hazard set to operate as a 'false nine' instead. Cesar Azpilicueta likely to provide protection for Branislav Ivanovic on the right.

Juventus: Buffon; Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini; Lichtsteiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, Asamoah; Quagliarella, Vucinic.

Chelsea: Cech; Ivanovic, Cahill, Luiz, Cole; Azpilicueta, Ramires, Mikel, Oscar, Mata; Hazard.

The teams are in and will be up shortly.

Our friends at Sky Bet have the odds for this one and make Juventus the strong favourites at 4/5 with Chelsea the 16/5 underdogs. The draw is available at 11/4.

Juve will feel they need to win to avoid elimination themselves so it's all set up for a cracking contest.

That will be tough against the Italian champions who only recently lost their 49-game unbeaten run in Serie A.

The European champions will be in an extremely vulnerable position if they lose here and will be anxious to avoid defeat.

Welcome to our live commentary of the UEFA Champions League clash between Juventus and Chelsea in Turin.

Kick-off is 1945 GMT.
