FT: Liverpool 2 Udinese 3

What a second half. Udinese came out the traps firing from the break with Di Natale the mastermind as the Italian side stunned Liverpool with a 25-minute onslaught. The arrival of Suarez and Gerrard improved Liverpool greatly but the Reds suffer their third home defeat in a row as their season continues to stutter. Thanks for your company at Anfield and I'll see you all soon.

FULL TIME. Liverpool 2 Udinese 3.

Great chance for the Reds. Johnson finds Sterling from the corner, his shot finding the back of the unknowing Danilo who takes the flight of the ball away from goal.

Liverpool's chief tormenter, Di Natale is taken off and Ranegie takes his place.

Suarez's contribution to this team really can't be overstated. He collects the ball on the right and fires a wicked shot at the near post which is parried well by Brkic.

Suarez wins back the ball in midfield, finding Gerrard who dinks a teasing ball at the far post which Danilo ends up dealing with exceptionally.

Yellow card for Benatia for a clumsy challenge on Suarez. The striker didn't have make a meal out of it again though.

Gerrard's movement already offers Liverpool a different look to them, but Domizzi defends well against Suarez to neutralise Liverpool's attack.

Double substitution for Liverpool and it's one that screams intent. Gerrard and Suarez come on in place of Assaidi and Henderson.

All the noise is coming from the away end right now, the Udinese fans clearly responding to the efforts from their team since the break, as on the pitch, Pasquale clears away after a Johnson run.

Johnson makes progress towards Udinese's goal, squaring to Henderson who goes for placement rather than power and ends up firing his shot into the path of Benatia.

Skillful play from Downing results in an attempted one-two with Borini, but the return pass clips Downing on the heels and ends up running out for a goal kick.

Benatia puts Pasquale under pressure with his clearance but Downing catches him on the follow-through and ends up winning a free-kick anyway.

Badu's poor ball into the box is controlled by Carragher who looks set Liverpool in forward motion once more. Shelvey picks it up and has a crack but it lands straight at Brkic.

A poor touch from Johnson allows Udinese to break forward, as Di Natale plays a one-two with Lavazzi before neatly finishing past Reina. What a start to the second half!

HALF TIME. Liverpool 1 Udinese 0.

One minute of added time to be played.

Liverpool continue to exert their masterful passing over Udinese, and they might well do until half time such is the ease in which they're knocking the ball around.

Downing takes the free-kick, which clips a body in the wall and earns Liverpool a corner as a result.

Downing displays good skill to draw a trip from Danilo and Liverpool win a free-kick roughly 25 yards out from goal.

Assaidi is invited to shoot but the winger clips the back of Benatia, much to his manager's relief after his team opened up like a crisp packet.

Pasquale looks for Di Natale and despite the latter's applause for the ball, it was a poor one and the Udinese captain stood no chance retrieving it.

Francesco Guidolin barks instructions to his team, but he can't prevent a corner being conceded after more good work from Shelvey.

Coates shows terrific strength to plough through Pasquale, winning the ball back for his side, with Henderson's header from Downing's cross landing in the arms of Brkic.

The passing philosophy earns praise from the Anfield faithful but Assaidi concedes possession, before the frustrated Di Natale is caught offside from Badu's ball.

This period of passing has been tremendous as Liverpool continue probing in Udinese's half. Eventually, Downing looks for Johnson and Badu gets his head in the way.

Neat play from Liverpool sees them maintain possession, with Downing the architect as they search for an opportunity to strike.

Borini admirably chases and hussles Udinese's back three, with Danilo eventually forced to hack clear as the striker continued to loom.

Downing makes a promising run into the penalty box. He pulls the trigger but an Udinese body gets in the way before Johnson looks to keep the ball alive with his over-hit ball sailing across the face of goal and out of play.

Di Natale goes for goal with a stunning effort using the outside of his right foot, and Reina is powerless as he watches it skim the outside of the crossbar.

Faraoni drifts a lovely ball into the box as space opens up for Di Natale. He narrowly misses contact with the ball though and Coates gratefully hacks away.

Assaidi hussles Pereyra down the left but ends up conceding a throw-in despite his good work.

Lovely goal from Liverpool. Shelvey plays in Downing out wide, and gets on the end of a lovely ball from 10 yards out as Shelvey cushions a header past Brkic to give the Reds the lead.

Fortunately for Udinese, Pereyra will continue as he hobbles back on to the pitch.

Assaidi claims a foul against Badu, but the referee waves play on as Henderson slides in out of frustration and is reprimanded by the referee.

Liverpool look to make their most of their temporary one-man advantage but after a succession of passes, Assaidi's cross is cleared by Benatia.

Pasquale's night looks to be over. He has hobbled to the sidelines where he is now receiving treatment after picking up a knock.

Downing plays in Borini, but this time he gets it all wrong as he scuffs his shot. Assaidi keeps the move alive but Brkic comes out to claim his chip into the box.

Liverpool probe as Assaidi links up play for Borini who turns neatly around Danilo before driving a solid effort narrowly wide.

A good spell of Udinese pressure results in another corner thanks to Badu. Di Natale delivers and after a momentary scramble, Allen plays the hosts clear.

Robinson gets a taste of the action on the left hand side before play is switched to the right where Downing earns a corner near the by-line

Liverpool kick-off and get the game underway.

Nick Carpenter writes: "I do hope Downing is being played as a way of keeping him in the shop window for any potential suitors. Really doesn't cut the mustard. Nice to see Shelvey back and will be interesting to see if Henderson ups his game as even he's on borrowed time to a certain extent. 3-1 Liverpool."

Analysing the team news further, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers makes eight changes to his side. The referee for tonight's clash is Stefan Johannesson (Sweden).

Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Coates, Carragher, Robinson, Henderson, Allen, Shelvey, Downing, Borini, Assaidi. Subs: Jones, Sahin, Suarez, Gerrard, Sterling, Skrtel, Wisdom.
