Live: Newcastle 2 West Brom 1

GOAL - Papiss Cisse - Shot from Sammy Ameobi deflects off the Senegalese front-man on the back and it deflects past Foster. Heart-break from West Brom.

Odemwingie's kick is again poor but it comes for Morrison, he looks for Olsson at the back post but he flicks it wide.

Good running from Long and he wins free kick off Williamson close to the corner flag - another chance to put it in.

Odemwingie takes but it is poor and Newcastle clear.

Great ball into the box from Tamas and Coloccini can only slice it over his own bar.

Three minutes of added time.

Ben Arfa drives towards goal and looks up and tries one from 30-yards but it is well over.

Goran Popov comes on for West Brom with Gera making way.

Newcastle starting to press now, for the first time in this half.

Good work from Obertan, he skips to the by-line and fires in his cross but he hits Cisse on the head and he can't direct it towards goal.

Ball pops up for Morrison 30-yards from goal, he looks up and goes for goal but sends it well wide.

Great ball into the box from Tamas, almost finds Rosenberg but it is just ahead of him.

Careless from Ridgwell at the back and he is almost caught in possession in the box by Cisse but he manages to hack clear.

Newcastle responding now and they win a corner. Cabaye takes but McAuley heads clear. Obertan gets ball on edge of the box near the by-line but fires right across goal - but nobody is there.

Good chance fro West Brom as Rosenberg is released by Morrison, he looks for Long but Williamson makes a good challenge. Then the ball is back out wide for the visitors and Long gets in front of his marker but he can only flick it into Krul's hands.

From Matt Durrant - Have the Albion impressed you today? Would settle for a point but come on you baggies! Yes Matt they have, very much the better side in this second-half and they could win this.

Gutierrez goes into the book for challenge on Mulumbu.

West Brom win corner from Odemwingie. McAuley rises but flicks just wide. The away side dominating at the moment.

Rosenberg releases Mulumbu, the Swede gets the ball back on the edge of the box but his shot is tame when it looked to be opening up for him.

Finally West Brom take but Gera sends it straight out, a bit of a waste.

Ba is also down and needing treatment. But he won't continue and Sammy Ameobi comes on.

Before the kick is taken, Marcus Rosenberg replaces Dorrans.

West Brom still dominating things at the moment, and Dorrans wins free-kick which the away side will be able to put into the box.

Thanks again for the feedback - some disappointed Newcastle fans at the moment, like Rebecca Acres, who emailed "Hello, just thought i'd let you know that before my 6 year old son left with his dad for the match he predicted Ba and Arfa to score to make it a 2-0 win. Hopefully he is right!"

Another booking this time as Cabaye catches Long - poor challenge.

Ben Arfa wins corner, he takes but it is poor and West Brom clear.

Lukaku makes way, with Long coming on - think Coloccini and Williamson will be delighted to see the back of him.

West Brom playing some lovely football. Great ball from Morrison for Lukaku behind defence but his pass is blocked by Gutierrez.

The changes have meant that Santon has moved to right-back and Gutierrez is at left back with Obertan left midfield and Ben Arfa right.

Changes now being made with Simpson and Ameobi coming off.

Papiss Cisse and Gabriel Obertan getting ready to come on...

West Brom have started the second-half very well are battling for everything now.

GOAL - Romelu Lukaku - Finally the Belgian finishes as he heads home at the back post, after good work from Gera.

Foy has stopped the game as Kevin Keen - West Brom's number two - is being spoken to.

Ridgewell goes into the book for challenge on Ba.

Good ball from Morrison releases Liam Ridgewell down the left but Ameobi tracks him well and deflects the ball out.

Mulumbu booked for challenge on Ben Arfa, play was waved on at the time as Newcastle broke.

Good work from Ba, he finds Simpson on the right - he works his way forward and crosses in for the Senegalese star but his header is easily claimed.

West Brom goal ruled out as Lukaku flicks at Mulumbu shot, and Krul lets it underneath his foot, and he is relieved to see the assistant's flag up.

West Brom pushing early in the second period.

Newcastle get us underway, neither side has made a change at the break.

Teams back out for second-half.

Thanks again for all the Feedback, Newcastle's fans seem happy to be in front. Like Steve Charnock on Twitter, who wrote: "Sounds like a good 1st half for us so far, HBA yet again been our star player, we need that second goal early to stun WBA"

Half-time whistle and Newcastle have the lead through Demba Ba's good finish.

Good defensive work from Coloccini as he holds off Lukaku before cooly clearing his lines.

Gera puts the ball into the box from the free-kick but Ba rises and heads clear.

Perch goes into the box after another mis-timed challenge, this time on James Morrison.

Odemwingie tries one from long-range but Krul sees it into the side netting.

West Brom should be level, Lukaku is sent clear again - this time by Mulumbu, but again Krul is off his line quickly and the Belgian can't finish. Good save, but he will be disappointed not to have scored.

Positivity from West Brom, as Odemwingie wins a corner. Gera takes Olsson rises but misses the ball and Newcastle clear.

Newcastle pushing on still, and Cabaye looks for Ba but Foster is off his line quickly to claim the ball.

GOAL - Demba Ba - Flick on from Shola Ameobi and Ba latches onto it as McAuley fails to clear and he fires home on the volley past Foster.

Lee Lawlor on email - How are Newcastle performing so far? Well Lee, they are just missing the cutting edge at the moment - but Ben Arfa looks a constant danger but West Brom look good on the break.

Another good run from Ben Arfa as he gets away from Mulumbu, he pulls it back to the edge of the box where Ameobi runs onto it but wildly fires over.

Tamas blocks Gutierrez by the corner flag, but Chris Foy waves play on - home fans not happy.

Gera is over it, but he fires over the bar - disappointing from the Hungarian.

Dorrans wins a free-kick on the edge of the box as James Perch brings him down. Real danger for Newcastle here.

Ba wins a corner for Newcastle. Cabaye takes, Williamson wins it and Ameobi looks for rebound, but West Brom clear and they counter. Lukaku is fed by Graham Dorrans and Krul makes a great save. Great break from West Brom.

Good ball from Lukaku into the box but Krul claims it - the Belgian has looked a menace so far.

Corner comes in, and it is a free header for Ameobi from 12-yards but it is straight at Foster.

Great save from Foster, as West Brom clear free-kick, it comes for Italian and he gets a dipping shot away which the Baggies keeper has to push wide.

Tough challenge from Gabriel Tamas on Santon. Looked nasty but no card.

Ben Arfa and Santon creating all sorts of problems down the left, the Italian gets a cross into the box and the homes fans want a penalty as Jonas Olsson clears away from Ba - nothing given and didn't look like one.

Great chance for Newcastle as Ba heads wide from inside the six-yard box. Great ball from Ben Arfa to find Ameobi and his cross was pin-point for Ba - but he could not test Foster in the away goal - should be 1-0.

Ben Arfa takes the ball on the edge of the box and goes for goal, it is well blocked, but the ball comes for Davide Santon - he finds Yohan Cabaye who drags it wide from 25-yards.

Really scrappy still, but Lukaku has looked good - another run into the box and Williamson is there to make the block.

Gary Carr is in the Toon today, unsurprisingly looking for a Newcastle win.

Both sides trying to play football, but final ball is lacking - neither side on top at the moment.

Strong run from Lukaku getting at Coloccini down the left, he crosses low but Mike Williamson makes the clearance.

Good early run from Shola Ameobi, he finds Demba Ba - Newcastle work it in field through Hatem Ben Arfa and Jonas Gutierrez but he can only pass the ball out. Scrappy, as the match as a whole has been so far.

West Brom, in red and blue, get us underway here kicking from left to right.

Teams are making their way out, kick-off moments away...

For me, well I can only see a home win too - although looking forward to seeing Lukaku in action from the start, but as has been said think Yacob could be a big miss for WBA.

And on Twitter - "‏@ZPennick 2-1 to Newcastle ba scores them both !!! #TOONARMY" "@HughesWBA It'll be a close game, Yacob will be a huge miss for #wba as will Tiote for #nufc"

On email, Gabriel Sutton, James Wallbridge, Joe Lewis and David Cooper all going for home wins!

Feedback flooding in, thanks for all the mails and tweets thus far...
