Lathrope: Set to start

Torquay boss Martin Ling may make a number of changes for the midweek cup encounter.

Ling had been looking to hand a number of fringe players an opportunity ahead of last week's original meeting before waterlogging on the Plainmoor pitch saw the game postponed.

Despite Saturday's 3-1 win over Accrington the Gulls boss still intends to hand some of his squad members an opportunity.

Tom Cruise, Danny Leadbitter and Damon Lathrope are expected to start, although the latter was a late inclusion against Stanley.

The trio have struggled for first-team opportunities of late but Ling is backing them to stake their claim.

Cruise is likely to replace winger Lloyd Macklin who suffered an injury at the weekend. Macklin, who has suffered with a knee problem all season, will be rested prior to further assessment.

Ling has no other injury or suspension concerns ahead of the match as the Gulls aim to secure a potential home clash with Wycombe in the next round.

Yeovil's depleted squad has grown even thinner as they travel without Joe Edwards.

The full-back was shown two yellow cards during Saturday's defeat to Tranmere and will serve a one-match suspension.

The Glovers could only name five substitutes against Rovers but Byron Webster was amongst them after a suspension of his own and is likely to replace Edwards.

Manager Gary Johnson has been unsuccessful in numerous recent attempts in the loan market to bring in fresh faces.

Lewis Young remains sidelined with ankle ligament damage while loan striker Gozie Ugwu is also struggling with a hamstring problem.

Midfielder Gavin Williams continues to play through the pain of a calf injury and is likely to be rested.
