Clayton: Available for selection

Crewe will run the rule over Max Clayton and Abdul Osman before their cup tie.

Osman has struggled with a persistent ankle problem in recent weeks so Ollie Turton is poised to deputise in midfield once more.

Like Osman, Clayton returned to training on Thursday and boss Steve Davis would appear keen to include the teenage striker having slammed the contribution of his forward players during last weekend's 1-0 defeat to Yeovil.

On of those in question, Chuks Aneke, is available to feature against the Chairboys under the terms of his loan from Arsenal.

Winger Ryan Colclough penned his first professional deal with the Railwaymen this week, but the 17-year-old remains at least a fortnight away from returning to full training due to a broken jaw.

Groin-injury victim Andy Bond is back with parent club Colchester, while striker Ajay Leitch-Smith (ankle) remains out.

Wycombe's Jo Kuffour will miss the clash after damaging ankle ligaments.

The former Torquay attacker had to be substituted in last weekend's 3-1 defeat to Oxford and was replaced by Richard Logan, who could deputise again for Kuffour.

Fellow forward Dean Morgan is also a doubt but Matt McClure, who has been called up to the Northern Ireland Under-21 squad for their friendly against England, is set to be in contention for the trip to Gresty Road along with QPR loanee Bruno Andrade.

Caretaker manager Gareth Ainsworth is still without a number of first-team players including defenders Danny Foster, Grant Basey, Marvin McCoy and Leon Johnson while midfielder Jesse Kewley-Graham and forward Dennis Oli also occupy the sidelines.

Wycombe, who have already beaten one League One side this season having knocked Portsmouth out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at Fratton Park, come into this tie on the back of a three-game winless run.
