Carter: Set to miss out again

Carter: Set to miss out again

Cheltenham will be without experienced midfielder Darren Carter for their cup tie.

This meeting with the Evostik League Southern South & West Division side comes too soon for the former Birmingham man who missed Saturday's emphatic 3-0 victory over Exeter at Whaddon Road.

Reading loanee Lawson D'Ath, who marked his Robins debut with a goal against the Grecians, has been given the green light by his parent club to feature and manager Mark Yates is likely to name a strong line-up.

"Of course we would love to have another run in this competition and we are taking it seriously," he told Cheltenham's official website. "I will be fielding a strong team. I may make a few changes but it will be as strong as we can possibly get it.

"The FA Cup did wonders for this club last season. Getting to White Hart Lane in the third round to play Tottenham helped so much off the pitch. It enabled us to bring in Jermaine McGlashan and it created a feelgood factor for everyone involved with the club."
