Brian Wilson will miss Colchester's trip to their non-league neighbours through suspension.
Right-back Wilson received his fifth booking of the season during last weekend's 2-2 draw at Shrewsbury and now serves an automatic one-match ban.
Captain Anthony Wordsworth does however return to contention having missed out against the Shrews due to a one-match suspension of his own.
Craig Eastmond and Sanchez Watt have both been given permission to play by Arsenal while fellow loanee Jabo Ibehre has also been handed clearance by parent club MK Dons.
