Holmes: Concern for Rovers

Tranmere manager Ronnie Moore will make a late decision on Danny Holmes' participation.

Holmes limped out of Saturday's 1-0 win over Oldham with an ankle injury and his Boundary Park replacement, Michael Kay, is poised to step into the defence if he fails to recover.

Loan duo Jake Cassidy and Liam Palmer are ineligible for the match, while Paul Black (calf) and Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro (broken metatarsal) remain on the sidelines.

Moore told Tranmere Player: "Danny, we don't know what is going to happen with him. For him to come off it's a bad one. We've just got to wait until the last minute on him.

"Cass can't play and Palms can't play. Blacky is missing and Jean-Louis is missing too.

"We've just got 18 - we can just make the subs. There will be one or two changes forced on us."
