Carlo Tomaselli in the USA says: "I'm in agreement with Pete Hales, these games can give you nightmares. Liverpool are starting alot of second string players which is good for their advancement and with Carragher barking orders from the rear they should have no excuses. I really hope Liverpool is the club that Sturridge can finally shine at as a regular starting striker. Watching the game at 9am here in Colorado Springs, CO still feels wierd....... C'mon you Reds! i can see this being high scoring, think the pitch will have to hold up for some impressive on the ground passing to succeed so i see it being 2-5 in Liverpools favor."

Keir 19, Liverpool Fan from Hong Kong says: "Personally, its good to see Sturridge starting, i reckon 3-1 to the Reds. Sturridge, Allen and Shelvey netting. It'll be interesting to see how Sturridge fits into this team (If starting) and I wonder what tactics the gaffer will employ if Sturridge and Suarez play together. I'm really not confident with Brad Jones. Personally i dont think he is a very good keeper, his catching is dodgy and his reactions arent the best. The Reds have to play and dominate and not do what we did against Havant And Waterlooville last time out against a non league side."

The pre-match betting from Sky Bet sees Liverpool at 1/5, the draw 11/2 and Mansfield are 12/1.Daniel Sturridge is 3/1 to score first on his Liverpool debut and 7/2 to bag a brace.

A Mansfield fan! Thanks to Alex Cox: "As a stags fan, I have a very small bet on Exodus Geohaghon to score and Mansfield to win 1-0, safe to say I will be very happy if that comes off!" Very best of luck Alex!

Qasim Suhail says: "My thoughts on the match are that Liverpool will win as they have won there past few matches and there a higher league then Mansfield. Liverpool will probaly get through to the 4th round. Maybe we will get suprised like the match between Brighton and Newcastle. They are my thoughts."

Max Burke also goes for a one-sided affair: "Hi I think Liverpool will win 1-6 considering the team they have got out it will be interesting to see how they do also it will be interesting to see how sturridge plays."

Thanks to Pete Hales, who says: "Feeling slightly nervous as a Liverpool fan. You never quite know how these sort of games will go. There is always a risk of a giant-killing!!! Liverpool's form is so in-different this season either scintillating or down-right terrible. Hope it is a good game of open, free-flowing football." Me too, Pete.

Plenty of people expect a big first games from Daniel Sturridge, including Chris Lee: "Think liverpool will win 3-0 sturridge getting 2 and suso getting a goal hope mansfield put up a good show looking forward to a good cup tie."

Gary Enright is a little more cautious: "Hi David. Liverpool to win but do expect a few scary moments as Mansfield will not roll over easily."

Quintin is also going for a big Liverpool win: "Quintin Vanes from hartlepool thinks the outcome will be 5-1 to liverpool with Sturridge grabbing an hat-trick and sahin with the other 2"

Plenty of early discussion on the game and James Cox says: "hey, looking for to the match today with the new signing in daniel strurridge im going for a 5-1 victory for the reds with strurridge getting a hatrick and the two other coming from downing and henderson,COME ON LIVERPOOL"
