Half Time. That's the end of the first half of this leg, and a quarter of the tie. Bradford from League Two lead Premier League side Aston Villa thanks to Naki Wells' goal. Plenty of threat from Villa but they haven't been able to find the goal. Could Bradford do it?

Wells finds space in the right channel and he attempts a ludicrously ambitious shot that only finds the crowd.

Phil Parkinson claims a draw would be a good result for Bradford tonight. He wants to stay in this tie for as long as possible and heap the pressure on Aston Villa.

The Mercy on Twitter: "Comfortable 2-0 win for the Villa tonight followed by a nervy 1-1 draw in the second leg! UTV"

Darren Bent on the bench for Villa despite his goal at the weekend. Paul Lambert does look to have picked a strong team for this one. He must fancy this will be as good as over if the Premier League side can win away from home.

Simon on Twitter: "I'm a Villa fan & I'm not counting my chickens just yet, but as long as we don't get spanked today then we're back at Wembley!"

"Neil here, I'm going for a 2-0 Villa win with a strong looking starting 11 that should see the game through."

"Score draw - I predict an entertaining game 2-2 - Andy from Prague."

Adam: "Hi, I'd like to say that even though I'm a Chelsea fan and want Bradford to go through and play Chelsea when we beat Swansea, I can now see Aston Villa winning the semi-final by about six or seven goals."

Sean: "I am a massive Villa fan but think Bradford will nick it 2-1 but hope I am wrong. If Villa win it will be 4-0. Hoping the night gets to Bradford."

The Villans have progressed through eight of their previous 13 semi-finals, including in their last one against Blackburn in 2010, though they have only won two of 13 first-leg games (D7 L4).

This will be Aston Villa's 14th appearance in the League Cup semi-final, equalling the record held by Arsenal and Liverpool.

Will: "Can't see either side keeping a clean sheet. Villa 3-2. Cracking game. Benteke (2) and Weimann."

Calvin: "I think the Villa boys will do themselves justice tonight. Although we have lost a lot of games, Villa are due to win a game. But with Given in goal I don't think we will keep goals from hitting the net."

"Peter Robinson here, the ex-pat Villa fan now living in Chicago. Going for a second-half goal from Benteke as we nick the first leg 1-0. Up the Villa."

Spencer: "I think 1-0 Villa, but Bradford to take them the distance over the two legs!"

Connor on Twitter says: "3-1 Villa. Comfortable first-leg win."

Bradford have only once made the semi-finals of a major cup competition, beating Blackburn 3-0 in the last four of the 1911 FA Cup.

Bradford have already eliminated Premier League sides Wigan Athletic and Arsenal from the League Cup this year. No fourth-tier side has ever defeated three top-flight teams in the same League Cup competition.

Our friends at Sky Bet have the odds for this one and make Bradford 3/1 to get the win tonight. Villa are 17/20 favourites with the draw available at 13/5.

The Bantams stunned Arsenal in the last round but now the League Two club must see off Premier League opposition over two legs. They'll surely need to take a good result to Villa Park.
