After good hold-up play by Hanson, Turgott beats two men and wins a corner.

87
Villa pushing hard for this equaliser but Bradford continuing to hold out for now.

85
Burke is on for the injured Bent.

Long ball finds the head of Bent and he flicks the ball on, via a deflection, for Weimann to beat the onrushing Duke.

83
Goal! Andreas Weimann with a goal back for Villa!

80
Instead Wells shoots low and Given is behind it.

79
Wells fouled on the break. Chance for Bradford to cross.

78
Chance! Hanson throws his head at a cross and hits the crossbar!

77
Delph booked.

Jones swings in the corner and the ball breaks loose for Wells who gets the ball back out to the taker. Jones crosses again and there is McArdle at the near post to head past Given.

77
Goal! Rory McArdle makes it 2-0!

75
Good run from Atkinson feeds Wells and the forward sees his shot blocked for a corner. Respite.

74
Jones working so hard in the middle of the park to keep Villa out.

73
Another long ball for Bent to run onto and it's too strong, running through to Duke.

71
Benteke still winning those flick-ons but the ball is just being hoofed up to him now as Villa run out of ideas.

69
N'Zogbia fouls Turgott. He needs to be careful as he is already in the book.

68
Delay as Bent is down for treatment. Duke may have landed on him after that spurned opportunity.

67
Chance! N'Zogbia with another long-range shot that Duke pushes out only as far as Bent but the striker heads over from point-blank range.

66
Turgott on for Hines.

65
Bent helps the ball forward for Weimann and he is clear of the defence but Duke is off his line to kick the ball off the Austrian and away to safety.

Hines shoots over from distance.

62
Cross comes in and Benteke helps the ball on but Bent volleys over from a tight angle.

61
N'Zogbia stops that break with a silly foul and is booked.

60
Corner to Villa but the home side clear and break.

59
Have Bradford weathered the storm? They seem to be getting into this one again. Here Wells is called offside.

57
Superb skill from Hines to get the cross in but the contact from Hanson isn't great and the ball trickles wide.

57
Bent on for Agbonlahor.

55
Then Hines wins a corner that McHugh heads just over. A reminder of Bradford's threat at the other end.

55
Wells with a Cruyff turn to find space on the edge but the defender just gets a toe to the ball.

54
Complete domination from Villa in this second half. But no goal yet.

52
N'Zogbia helps the ball towards the far post and the corner is condeded. But Duke is there to claim the subsequent cross.

50
Chance! Bannan with another cross from the left and Agbonlahor fires goalwards with his left foot but Duke is there again with the save.

48
Chance! Bannan with the cross from the left and Benteke heads the ball on goal from close range but Duke somehow saves. Quite the duel between those two.

47
This is an impressive start by Villa. Lesson that Bradford cannot switch off.

46
Clark almost tucks the corner away at the far post but Bradford snaffle the ball away.

46
Nearly the perfect start for Villa as Benteke wins a flick-on and then sees his shot cleared by Duke for a corner.

46
Villa kick-off and the second half is underway.

Half Time. That's the end of the first half of this leg, and a quarter of the tie. Bradford from League Two lead Premier League side Aston Villa thanks to Naki Wells' goal. Plenty of threat from Villa but they haven't been able to find the goal. Could Bradford do it?

45
There will be one minute of added time.

44
Chance! Just as Villa are running out of steam here, N'Zogbia produces a great run down the right before cutting the ball back for Agbonlahor but his shot is parried away by Duke.

41
Wells does well to hold the ball up on the right and he lays the ball back for Hines who crosses first time for Hanson. But the big striker heads the ball down into the ground and wide of the post. Bradford having chances to double their lead here.

41
First signs of frustration from Villa as a pass goes astray. This is a young team and they cannot led their heads drop.

39
Darby takes a short throw-in and he gets the ball to Hines who cuts inside beautifully before firing a left-footed shot over Given's bar.

37
Chance! Cross comes in and the ball is cleared off the line! Hanson with the header and Delph blocks it.

36
Good run from Atkinson and his cross can only be headed away for a corner.

34
Hines is doing very well for Bradford on the right. He twists and turns to engineer space past Bennett and then fires a fierce shot at Given that the goalkeeper can only parry.

33
Searching diagonal ball from Lowton for Benteke is just too strong for the big man. Not going to plan for Villa.

31
Wells finds space in the right channel and he attempts a ludicrously ambitious shot that only finds the crowd.

31
Another corner. Another Benteke header over the bar. This one wasn't such a clear opportunity.

30
Flowing move from Villa gets the ball to Benteke in a central position and he blasts in a shot that Duke is able to palm away for a corner.

29
Lofted ball into the box and Hanson beats Clark in the air but can only head into the arms of Given.

28

26
Long ball hoisted into the Villa box that Given chooses not to come for but misses everyone and runs out for a goal-kick.

25
Bannan with a foul out of frustration as Bradford enjoy more possession.

24
Bradford continuing to press their Premier League opponents. Growing in confidence too.

22
Wells breaks and has Hines in space and available for the crossfield ball but cannot quite find his team-mate.

21
More urgency about Villa now as they take the corner but Bradford clear.

Benteke heads away the corner but only as far as the edge of the box. The shot comes in and takes a deflection, falling nicely to the unmarked Wells on the left edge of the six-yard box and he tucks the ball past Given with real quality. Wells was level with the last man so it was a great call from the assistant.

19
Goal! Nahki Wells for Bradford!

18
Bennett gives away a soft corner.

16
Searching cross into the box from the right flank by Darby but Given is off his line to claim.

16
But Bannan's cross eludes everyone.

15
Doyle trips Agbonlahor down the left to give away a silly free-kick.

13
Another chance for Benteke! Threaded ball through down the left channel but the forward cannot beat Duke on his weaker foot.

12
So much space for N'Zogbia in the middle. He runs at the Bradford defence again but his shot is tame and collected by Duke. Plenty of warnings for the home side.

11
Good run from Hines down the right but he cannot quite find Hanson in the box.

10
Again Benteke has a free header in the box. He must score but somehow heads wide.

9
Plenty of space for N'Zogbia. His shot is deflected wide for a corner.

9
Benteke heads over from the subsequent corner.

8
Wells gets away down the right and then cuts inside on his left but can only find Given with his cross. At the other end Weimann gets away and has space to shoot but tries to find Benteke with the squared ball but sees his pass blocked.

7
Then it is Agbonlahor's turn to have a mazy run but he declines the shot and loses possession with a weak pass.

6
Positive run by N'Zogbia gets him away from a couple of players before shooting powerfully at Duke.

5

4
Long throw comes in and Jones latches onto the loose ball but shoots wide.

3
Bright start from Wells as he gets a shot in that is blocked by Baker.

3
Villa settling into possession for the first time.

2
Bradford with an early attack through Hines down the right but he cannot keep the ball in play.

1
Bradford kick-off and we are underway.

Thanks for all your feedback. The players are out on the pitch and we'll be underway shortly.

Phil Parkinson claims a draw would be a good result for Bradford tonight. He wants to stay in this tie for as long as possible and heap the pressure on Aston Villa.

The Mercy on Twitter: "Comfortable 2-0 win for the Villa tonight followed by a nervy 1-1 draw in the second leg! UTV"

Darren Bent on the bench for Villa despite his goal at the weekend. Paul Lambert does look to have picked a strong team for this one. He must fancy this will be as good as over if the Premier League side can win away from home.

Simon on Twitter: "I'm a Villa fan & I'm not counting my chickens just yet, but as long as we don't get spanked today then we're back at Wembley!"

"Neil here, I'm going for a 2-0 Villa win with a strong looking starting 11 that should see the game through."

"Score draw - I predict an entertaining game 2-2 - Andy from Prague."

Adam: "Hi, I'd like to say that even though I'm a Chelsea fan and want Bradford to go through and play Chelsea when we beat Swansea, I can now see Aston Villa winning the semi-final by about six or seven goals."

Sean: "I am a massive Villa fan but think Bradford will nick it 2-1 but hope I am wrong. If Villa win it will be 4-0. Hoping the night gets to Bradford."

The Villans have progressed through eight of their previous 13 semi-finals, including in their last one against Blackburn in 2010, though they have only won two of 13 first-leg games (D7 L4).

This will be Aston Villa's 14th appearance in the League Cup semi-final, equalling the record held by Arsenal and Liverpool.

Will: "Can't see either side keeping a clean sheet. Villa 3-2. Cracking game. Benteke (2) and Weimann."

Calvin: "I think the Villa boys will do themselves justice tonight. Although we have lost a lot of games, Villa are due to win a game. But with Given in goal I don't think we will keep goals from hitting the net."

"Peter Robinson here, the ex-pat Villa fan now living in Chicago. Going for a second-half goal from Benteke as we nick the first leg 1-0. Up the Villa."

Spencer: "I think 1-0 Villa, but Bradford to take them the distance over the two legs!"

Connor on Twitter says: "3-1 Villa. Comfortable first-leg win."

Bradford have only once made the semi-finals of a major cup competition, beating Blackburn 3-0 in the last four of the 1911 FA Cup.

Bradford have already eliminated Premier League sides Wigan Athletic and Arsenal from the League Cup this year. No fourth-tier side has ever defeated three top-flight teams in the same League Cup competition.

Bradford: Duke; Darby, McArdle, McHugh, Good; Hines, G.Jones, Doyle, Atkinson; Hanson, Wells. Subs:McLaughlin, Ravenhill, Reid, R.Jones, Hannah, Connell, Turgott.

Aston Villa: Given; Lowton, Clark, Baker, Bennett; Bannan, Delph; Weimann, N'Zogbia, Agbonlahor; Benteke. Subs:Guzan, Ireland, Bent, Stevens, Lichaj, Burke Carruthers.

The teams news will be in shortly.

Our friends at Sky Bet have the odds for this one and make Bradford 3/1 to get the win tonight. Villa are 17/20 favourites with the draw available at 13/5.

The Bantams stunned Arsenal in the last round but now the League Two club must see off Premier League opposition over two legs. They'll surely need to take a good result to Villa Park.
