FT Lyon 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs progress after a dramtic last gasp equaliser from Dembele. They will now face Inter Milan in the next round.

Dempsey plays it into the corner.

Briand ruled offside.

Spurs now playing keep ball as Lyon look to score and take it into extra time.

GOAL! Dembele has turned it on its head. He strikes from just outside the box and finds the bottom corner. It's 1-1. Spurs lead 3-2 on aggregate.

Gallas lumps the ball into the Lyon box but Vercoutre takes it with ease.

Bale has a go at goal but fires the ball well wide.

Malbranque tries to find Briand but he is offside.

Ball is knocked forward. Gallas collects.

Briand is taken out by Livermore. Free-kick to Lyon inside their own half.

Umtiti tries to find Briand but Spurs cut it out. One team clearly on top here.

Livermore comes on in place of Parker.

Gomis is replaced by Briand.

Dempsey fires well wide.

Spurs are putting on the pressure as they look for the goal to put them through.

Grenier takes, it is headed away by Bale.

Changes for both sides again as Ghezzal replaces Lisandro. Holtby departs and Sigurdsson is his replacement.

Malbranque tries to go past Assou-Ekotto but he doesn't have much success and the ball goes through to Friedel.

Holby fouls Umtiti. Free-kick Lyon. It comes to nothing yet again.

Lyon can't make anything of it and Spurs have the ball back.

Malbranque is fouled by Assou-Ekotto. Free-kick Lyon.

Bale has a shot from the edge of the box and Vercoutre parries the ball. Lyon clear.

Changes for both sides as Lacazette goes off and is replaced by Malbranque. Lennon is replaced by Dempsey.

Adebayor hits the bar! then Lennon goes down. Lennon appeals for a penalty. Not given.

Nothing comes of it.

Spurs break and Gonalons is booked for a foul on Bale. Free-kick Spurs.

Gomis is put through and Friedel comes out to meet him,, the ball drops to Lacazette who fails to score as he goes down easily.

Gallas miss kicks the ball but Walker is able to head the ball back to Friedel.

Spurs try to build but lose possession and Lyon attack only to run the ball out of play. Spurs back in possession.

Umtiti launches it to Gomis but his shot is blocked and it goes behind. Goal-kick Spurs.

Lisandro goes down easily under pressure from walker. Free-kick Lyon.

Bale delivers but Gomis heads clear Another corner but it is punched cleared by Vercoutre.

Umtiti tries to find Gomis but he is fended off by Vertonghen awho gets the ball back to Friedel. Spurs then attack and gain a corner.

Umtiti whips a ball into the Spurs box, ball is cleared, comes back in but is cleared again. Grenier then has a shot at goal but Friedel stops it. Spurs clear. Worrying times for them.

Lisandro is ruled out for offside

Assou-Ekotto gives away a free-kick deep in Lyon's half.

Assou-Ekotto crosses the ball just under the crossbar for Adebayor but Vercoutre gathers.

Ball is fed through to Lisandro but the ball is blocked. Spurs break and Adebayor crosses the ball to Bale but he taps the ball just wide. Lyon survive.

Assou-Ekotto tries to get the ball in but is ushered out of play. Goal-kick Lyon.

Grenier tries to find Lisandro but is blocked off. Spurs regain possession.

Bale slips but sends a good ball to Assou-Ekotto who wastes a ball and fires the ball out of play.

Spurs get the second half underway

Tom Mednick writes: "Let's see something magic from someone OTHER than Bale. Dembele really needs to go for a run. Also, where's Lennon? Let's get it together lads!"

Half time thoughts now as Rafee Ahmed writes: "Lyon have been solid tonight, they have a chance if they stop the danger man Bale who is having a bad day in office but still he is a quality player and can change a game in a second just like last time they met where he was the difference, Spurs are a one man team who have some very average player like Parker who has been poor today giving balls away too many time"

HT Lyon 1-0 Spurs (2-2 agg). At the moment Lyon are going through. 45 minutes for Spurs to turn this one around.

So close for Spurs! Holtby has a shot on goal from the edge of the box and hits the post.

Lacazette has a chance but doesn't catch it right and Friedel saves.

Rafee Ahmed writes: "Really impressed the way Lyon are playing just like AC Milan last night defending bravely but Spurs have been poor, really surprised to see them play like this after playing some magical stuff in White Hart Lane..what has happened to Bale looks a shadow of a player from the last meeting he looks like a frustrated player today"

Corner taken by Bale but it fails to get past the first man and is cleared.

Bale goes on a run from his own half and manages to force a corner.

Greneir tries to find Gomis again but the ball is blocked and Spurs try to break but get nowhere and Lyon come right back at them. Gallas clears the ball out of play.

Bale tries to find Holtby but is cut out. Lyon break and the ball is threaded through to Gomis but he's offside.

Spurs are arwarded a free-kick just inside there own half and start knocking it around the back.

He whips it in but Vertonghen is ruled out for offside.

Adam Powlesland is not a very happy Spurs fan as he writes: "Definitely not happy, what is it with European footballers going down under the slightest touch. I know the Premiership is bad but this is almost comical. Nothing wrong with Ade's header, and Kyle Walker didnt do anything to concede the free kick. I guess its true what they say about the French.... COYS. Adebayor to get one back."

Bale dances down the wing and crosses trying to find Adebayor but it is cleared.

Lisandro fires wide after Lacazette crosses the ball into him in the box. Terrible contact.

Bale tries to dribble his way past the Lyon back line but Bisevac gets a foot in and clears.

Fofana tries to play in Gomis but over hits it and the ball rolls wide.

Cleared once again by Spurs.

Grenier's free-kick is nodded behind by Assou-Ekotto. Corner to Lyon.

Ball is lumped forward to Adebayor who climbs high but is deemed to have fouled Bisevac. Free-kick Lyon.

Grenier fires the ball way over the bar after a promising spell of pressure by Lyon.

Umtiti is brought down by Walker and he is booked for his troubles.

Lacazette tries to find Gomis but over hits it and ball goes through to Friedel.

It doesn't come to much though and Lyon clear their lines.

Gonalons tries to get through the Spurs defence but they stand strong and Holtby starts up a Spurs attack.

Fofana tries to find Grenier but hits the ball too hard and the ball rolls through to Friedel.

Free-kick to Lyon after Lisandro goes down easily under pressure from Parker but it comes to nothing.

Spurs now must score if they are to progress and there are straight into the Lyon half looking for an equaliser.

GOAL! Lyon take the lead. Grenier takes and Gonalons heads in. It's 1-0 on the night. 2-2 on aggregate.

Walker fouls Lisandro. Free-kick Lyon.

Holtby puts Adebayor through but he is called offside.

Tottenham are playing the ball around the half way line at the moment.

Holtby finds Adebayor who tries to slide Lennon through but he is ushered out.

It comes to nothing

Lacazette catches Assou-Ekotto on the ball, he then fails the Tottenham man. Free-kick Spurs.

Spurs break and try to find a way through the Lyon defence, they build up some nice possession before Holtby loses control and the ball goes out of play for a throw-in.

Grenier fires the ball straight into the wall, tries again and his cross finds Lacazette but he heads straight at Friedel who makes a comfortable save.

Lyon hit Tottenham again and Walker prevents Lisandro from getting inside. Free-kick Lyon.

Grenier finds Lisandro but he is muscled out by Walker.

Lacazette is ruled offside.

Bale takes, Gallas gets his head to it but heads it high and wide.

Walker is caught by Umtiti. Free-kick Spurs.

Dembele bursts into the Lyon half and Spurs start knocking the ball around.

Grenier takes, Adebayor hooks the ball away. Lisandro goes for goal but fires wide. Goal-kick Spurs.

Gomis tries to cross the ball, Vertonghen blocks. Corner to Lyon.

Ball is cleared by Spurs after a bit of a scramble

Assou-Ekotto is penalised for a high foot on Gomis. Free-kick to Lyon.

Spurs gain possession as Lyon lose the ball straight away.

David Newman is another Spurs fan confident of a result as he writes: "Back in Israel for tonights game after being at WHL for the first leg. We need to cancel out that away goal and we'll be ok. Withstand some early pressure and then a breakaway from either Bale or Holtby.On to San Siro for the next round."

Michael James is next in with a prediction and he is rather more optimistic as he writes: "I see a 2-1 win in Tottenham favour, although i would prefer we didnt progress, Adebayor and Holtby for us, and a Gomis header for Lyon."

The first leg saw Tottenham take the initiative with a 2-1 victory at White Hart Lane. The in form Gareth Bale grabbed both goals for Spurs with Samuel Umtiti scoring a scorcher to give Lyon some hope in this second leg.
