The referee blows his whistle to end a very entertaining contest. Liverpool gave it everything but tonight's 3-1 win isn't enough because of Hulk's away goal.

The second half has started and Zenit have made a couple of changes. Viktor Fayzulin and Domenico Criscito have replaced Danny and, as expected, the injured Lombaerts.

The Anfield crowd are getting right behind Liverpool when they reach the final third. We should see more and more action as the Reds are forced to focus on attack.

Liverpool have responded really well to Hulk's goal. They are level on the right but still lots work needed. Three more goals required to qualify if Zenit don't score again.

Gerrard wins a free-kick right on the edge of the right hand side of the Zenit box. The away side are finding the going tough in the last few minutes.

Remember Liverpool need to win by a three-goal margin to progress from this tie. Zenit's away goal has seen to that.

GOAL SUAREZ! The free-kick is finally taken and Suarez fires the ball home. It went straight through the Zenit wall and that really wasn't great from the away side.
