Hylton: Misses out again

Danny Hylton misses out again for Aldershot as he completes his three-match suspension.

The striker has already missed the games against Accrington and York and will be hoping the visit of Town goes ahead amid the current cold snap sweeping the country.

The Shots are due to face Middlesbrough at the Riverside in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday but Hylton would see his ban prolonged to take in the cup tie should Tuesday's clash fall victim of the weather.

Forward Dani Lopez sees his loan stay expire after the encounter against the Cobblers and he will return to Stevenage later this week unless an extension can be agreed.

Elsewhere, long-term absentees Craig Stanley (broken leg) and Olly Lancashire (abdomen) are not quite ready.

Northampton boss Aidy Boothroyd must decide whether to freshen up his team for the midweek tie.

Boothroyd named an unchanged starting XI for the third straight match on Saturday and saw the Cobblers climb into the play-off places in League Two with a 1-0 home win over promotion rivals Burton.

David Artell is ready to make his long-awaited return. The experienced centre-back has made a complete recovery from the Achilles injury that has kept him out since the start of October but he was not included in the squad at the weekend.

Boothroyd could also call on the likes of Ishmel Demontagnac, Lewis Hornby, Lewis Wilson and Louis Moult should he wish to make changes.

Defender John Johnson, who has spent several weeks on the sidelines due to a knee injury, is close to returning to contention but will not be considered for selection.

Boothroyd will take a cautious approach with the full-back, who has had two knee operations this season and whose comeback from the first of those was aborted in November.
