Mark Connolly: Set for Crawley return

Mark Connolly: Set for Crawley return

Mark Connolly returns to the Crawley squad.

The defender missed Saturday's 2-0 win at Bury through suspension after he was sent off against Brentford last week.

His return will give boss Richie Barker a selection dilemma after former Gillingham centre-half Connor Essam impressed on his full debut in Connolly's absence.

Striker Billy Clarke needs a late fitness check after missing out at the weekend with a hamstring problem.

However, Barker does not have to rush his top scorer back after Jamie Proctor scored both goals against Bury, his first for the club.

Defender Kyle McFadzean is back in training but still not match fit following four months on the sidelines due to a virus.

Carlisle will be without suspended striker Lee Miller.

Miller was shown a straight red card in the weekend defeat at Notts County for appearing to headbutt Dean Leacock in the closing stages and he will miss the next three matches.

Danny Cadamarteri is hoping to make his first start since early December and fellow forward Mark Beck provides manager Greg Abbott with an alternative option to partner Rory Loy in Miller's absence.

Winger Matty Robson could return after missing the last three games with a groin injury, while teenager Dave Symington and Andy Welsh are also pushing for recalls.

Abbott has no other new injury or suspension problems, but is without Chris Chantler (ankle), sidelined for the rest of the season, as his side chase their first win in six league matches.
