FT: PSG 2 Barcelona 2

Thank you for joining me this evening. This match was billed as a blockbuster and it did not disappoint. It is all to play for at the Nou Camp in the second leg.

It is the last kick, and what an ending to a great game which came truly alive when Ibrahimovic initially equalised with 11 minutes remaining. PSG deserve to go into the second leg with hope, they worked their socks off.

In what may be the last kick of the game, Matuidi makes it 2-2 after firing home from Ibrahimovic's knock down. Valdes should have saved it but was caught going the wrong way and ended up helping the ball in. Fantastic late drama at Parc des Princes.

GOAL - Last minute equaliser for PSG!!!

Ball is in the net for PSG but Ibrahimovic is caught this time for being offside.

Four minutes to be added to the end of this thrilling game.

Sirigu was booked for taking down Sanchez for the penalty.

Xavi converts the penalty calmly, sending Sirigu the wrong way.

Penalty for Barcelona!

PSG are almost clean through on goal as Ibrahimovic heads down Thiago Silva's long ball for Gameiro but the bounce is awkward and Alves is first to get to it.

Alves is shown a yellow card shortly after, taking his frustration out on Menez.

Alves crosses from the right but Jallet gets a head to it.

Bartra is coming on for Mascherano, who looks to have injured himself anyway.

That goal has really lifted the hosts and just imagine the noise inside the stadium if they went on to get another!

Tello on for Villa.

Controversial equaliser for PSG as Ibrahimovic converts having been in an offside position when Thiago Silva's thumping header from a free kick came back off the post.

GOAL - Ibrahimovic has equalised!!!

Alba and Mascherano collide with each other and both are hurt but it allows Ibrahimovic to be onside to finish a chance. His effort is poor and straight at Valdes but Barcelona are furious play was allowed to continue.

Gameiro has replaced Pastore.

Moura misses a good heading chance but PSG do have a corner now.

PSG break from the corner and have free kick on the left edge of the box following Mascherano's foul on Menez. Yellow card for the Argentinian.

Xavi's effort is deflected on to the roof of the net for a corner.

Villa goes down eagerly from the challenge by Alex, earning Barcelona a free kick in a central shooting position.

Alves and Fabregas combine going forward but some strong defending by Thiago Silva ends the attack.

Maxwell does really well to create a chance for PSG, but the pass would have been the better option rather than a shot from a tight angle which Valdes saves. Menez and Ibrahimovic were both in space.

Not the evening Beckham was hoping for - he is replaced by Veratti.

Good effort by Alves but Sirigu has the ball covered as it travels narrowly wide.

Poor foul from Beckham now as he is booked for sliding in recklessly on Sanchez. Xavi and Alves standing over the free kick.

Menez on for Lavezzi as Ancelotti tries to switch things up for his trailing side.

Matuidi's foul on Iniesta earns him a yellow card, meaning he will miss the second leg.

Fabregas delivers a good cross for Sanchez but the Barcelona forward doesn't connect properly and it is an easy save for Sirigu.

Matuidi intercepts to stop Barcelona in their tracks and lead a PSG break but they can't get an attempt on goal.

Yellow card for Jordi Alba.

Ben Kumar writes: "Beckham to score a halfway line screamer like against Wimbledon, this time with his left! 1-1!"

A succession of Barcelona corners now. Ibrahimovic gets his head on the second one to clear but possession is back with the visitors.

Sumtuous flick from Ibrahimovic towards Matuidi inside the Barcelona box but Pique does well to prevent a shot on goal and wins a goal kick off the Frenchman as a bonus.

Jallet cross for Ibrahimovic at the far post, but the Swede's touch lets him down and a good opportunity goes begging for PSG.

Scott Dalglish writes: "Really interesting half from both teams and a clinical strike from messi should seal this game! However, don't write PSG off they have a knack off getting a goal and making this a dream return leg at the nou camp!!"

Harvey S writes: "Barca were always going to score, -('s what they do....but they defend like Rocky Balboa. We've seen that all season long - actually we saw it over the weekend! I reckon it'll finish 1-1 - or PSG might pinch it last minute!"

Thiago Silva is one step ahead as he interferes with a Barcelona attack. PSG subsequently come forward but Lucas gives it away trying to beat his second man.

Ibrahimovic delays his shot and ends up running into traffic before losing possession in the Barcelona box.

Huge cheers from the crowd for a penalty as Masherano and Matuidi collide at the other end. Nothing given.

Matuidi's dodgy clearance from the corner allows Busquets a free shot from the edge of the area. He hits it well but Sirigu is well placed to save.

Fabregas is found in space inside the box, his shot blocked behind by Thiago Silva for a corner.

Strong intent from PSG at the beginning of this second half, but no chances for an equaliser yet.

Syed writes: "someone said barca looking strong, except for the goal , psg were the only ones attackin on goal...might even be a draw"

Gavin Ellis writes: "psg to come back and win 2-1, u heard it hear first ;)"

Bit of early pressure from the hosts, but Maxwell's cross from the left can't find a blue shirt.

Messi has indeed come off. Fabregas is his replacement.

PSG get the second half underway in Paris.

James writes: "Messi has shown what a master of the game he is; fabregas will come on to steady the boat and stop the PSG passing game. Alexis to score in a Barcelona showcase!"

Liam Eyre writes: "barca will win 3-1 lesson will score again n iniesta. Lavezzi will score for PSG barca looking very strong!!!!!!"

It is quite likely Messi will have to be replaced at the break - could that potentially change things or has he already done the damage?

Can PSG get back into this game, or will Barca run away with it now they have the lead? Let me know by emailing ollybell_2@msn.com or tweeting @obell1990.

Paris St Germain are now 10/1 to battle back and establish a first-leg lead and 4/1 to salvage a draw, while Barcelona are price boosted to 9/1 to run away with it and win 3-0. Also available in Sky Bet's half-time price boosts is David Beckham to score next at 20/1, while Lionel Messi is the 4/1 favourite to net next.

An entertaining first half ends with Barcelona in the lead. Could have been a different story, however, with Lavezzi hitting the post early on and PSG creating some good chances for themselves. Barcelona have had much more of the ball though, so the hosts will need to take their opportunities much better if they are to take anything with them to the Nou Camp.

No time for a PSG free kick as Wolfgang Stark blows for the break.

Just one minute to be added at the end of the half.

Could be an injury for Messi who is rubbing the back of his right leg. Meanwhile Beckham's inviting cross into the box is headed well clear by Pique.

Messi almost adds a second as he runs at the PSG backline before trying to curl a shot into the top left corner. Just off target.

PSG will rue missed chances in this first half but need to make sure they don't lose their focus now as there is still a long way to go in this tie.

Barcelona now controlling possession in the hosts' half following the goal, looking a lot more comfortable now they have the lead.

Messi finishes from close range but it was made easy for him by the superb cross from Alves with the outside of his boot. Brilliant assist.

GOAL - Messi breaks the deadlock!!!

Sanchez cuts inside before having a shot, which takes a deflection before going wide.

Alves wins a corner off Maxwell on the right wing but nothing comes of it.

Creative work by Sanchez as he dribbles forward before feeding Villa, who tries to flick it back into the path of Sanchez but doesn't get enough contact and PSG clear.

Mascherano searches out Sanchez on the left, but Jallet cuts it out with a good header.

Lavezzi is offside as he recieves Ibrahimovic's through ball.

Alba's cross from the left takes a deflection and almost finds its way to Iniesta in the six-yard box, but Thiago Silva makes sure he gets there first.

Half an hour gone and there are no goals yet, but it has been a great watch so far.

Alves has to work hard to challenge with Ibrahimovic in the air, but he does really well and sees the ball safe.

Ibrahimovic loses possession but Jallet wins it back from Messi after some good pressure from Alex.

Great chance! PSG attack with such speed after Alex wins the ball with a sliding challenge. Lucas bursts forward before playing it to Ibrahimovic, but the Swede's shot is not hit smoothly and goes wide.

Alves controls brilliantly from Mascherano's long ball, meaning Barcelona can build an attack.

Great stuff by Thiago Silva as he watches the ball and times his challenge on Messi perfectly, with the Argentinian threatening inside the PSG box.

Brilliant work from Lavezzi to win the ball back for PSG inside the visitor's half, but his team mates can't keep hold of it. They are doing an excellent job of pressing Barca in their own half though.

The Swede takes is himself and it is a thunderous effort on target which Valdez does very well to beat away. PSG looking more than a match for their opponents so far this evening.

Pique is booked for a mistimed slide in on Ibrahimovic, leaving the home side with an excellent shooting opportunity just outside the area.

The ball finds its way to Iniesta on the edge of the box, and he is given enough time to curl a delicate shot goalwards, but it goes just wide.

Pastore's powerful shot has Valdes troubled as he parries forward, but the Barca stopper clutches on to the ball at the second attempt.

Lucas is too tricky for Busquets and the Spaniard concedes a free kick as he slides in to foul.

Beckham delivers an outswinger, but Alex is unable to head towards goal and the danger passes.

Mascherano gets a foot in to stop Lucas going past him, but concedes a corner.

Great start to the game. Quick tempo, end to end, brilliant atmosphere. Long may it continue.

Lavezzi looking lively, but he is called offside this time when a chance opens up for him.

Villa very almost gets on the end of Iniesta's through ball but Sirigu is quick off his line for the hosts.

Replays show that Busquets got a vital touch on Lavezzi's effort to help it on to the post.

PSG hit the post! Lovely bit of play from the hosts results in Pastore squeezing his way through on goal only to be denied by Valdes's right post.

PSG have a free kick just inside Barca's half now and will try string a few passes together themselves now.

Alves is penalised for a little push on Maxwell as he advances on goal. Barcelona with plenty of possession in the opening minutes, as you may have envisaged.

The visitors wearing their orangey/yellow away top with PSG in their home colours. Atmosphere is electric at Parc des Princes.

Barcelona get this mouth-watering Quarter Final first leg underway.

Sach3198 writes: "think it will be 3-1 Barca they are just class with the players they've got and Ibrahimavich with the PSG goal."

Amaan Ramzan writes: "Me hammer fan want PSG to win its my birthday today and I'm watching all the holiday football on Sky Sports and going on the score centre."

Godwin writes: "With david beckham playing, if barcelona give away needless free kicks, i see psg winning this"

Tonight's referee is Wolfgang Stark.

Brad writes: "should be a real tight game, ibra and messi will be class to watch, close result tonight, then barca to win second leg."

Thanks for all the comments so far, it just shows how eye-catching this fixture is! Keep them coming throughout the evening.

Harry writes: "Thinking about them lineups with Beckham and Imbrohimavic in there Nd then for Barca Messi and Villa, I think that this could well be a game for PSG to get the advantage, I predict 2-1 to PSG"

Cheshire Kat writes: "Can see Beckham getting the opening goal for PSG but Barca taking charge of the game with a 3-1, 4-1 win!"

Gordon Phillips writes: "Three years ago Fabregas was captain of a great club, one of the best midfield players in the world, already at 23 having a world cup and european championship winners medal, having made the pass that won the World Cup. Now he sits on the bench for big matches. Come home Cesc. Barca still to win overall and draw 2-2 tonight."

Many eyes will be on David Beckham tonight. Can he handle the likes of Xavi, Iniesta and Messi? It's a tall order for the veteran, but one thing we should know is that you can never write off Becks. This really should be an exciting game.

Subs: Douchez, Sakho, Menez, Gameiro, Chantome, Van Der Wiel, Verratti

Barcelona Subs: Pinto, Fabregas, Thiago, Bartra, Montoya, Song, Tello

Rafee Ahmed writes: "What a sensational and mouth watering match this is with both teams in form just hoping for some quality goals from both sides..PSG with some serious talents have a chance tonight the likes of Moura, Lavezzi and of course Ibrahimovic...3-1 to PSG"

Jacob Mbomegue JR writes: "PSG clearly have an advantage as they're playing home - but they need 2 be careful - 1 bad move and barcelona will finish it off"

George Shattock writes: "1-1 Messi and maybe a Becks free kick if we are lucky #NoDoubts"

I think PSG are too big at 7/2 and would advise those looking for a bit of value in tonight's game to go for Lucas Moura to score in a home win. That is available at 17/2. Alternatively, Lionel Messi's price to score first has been boosted to 12/5 which is always a sound bet. How about David Beckham having an evening to remember? You can get with an enhanced scorecast at 85/1 for him to score first and the game to be drawn 1-1. Go to www.skybet.com to place your bets.

Barcelona are odds-on to establish a first-leg lead tonight. The Spaniards had to do it the hard way in the previous round as they lost their first leg 2-0 at AC Milan, prompting their outright price to drift out to 5/1, but were reinstalled as favourites again after prevailing 4-2 on aggregate. PSG, in contrast, drifted out from 18/1 to 33/1 after being paired with Barca, but have been handed a boost with Zlatan Ibrahimovic's two-match ban being reduced, enabling him to face his former club. The Swedish striker is the 5/1 second favourite to open the scoring behind Lionel Messi, who has scored six goals in his last four games and 54 in all this season. Barca can recall Andres Iniesta, Xavi and David Villa after the trio were rested for the 2-2 draw with Celta Vigo at the weekend, but captain Carles Puyol remains sidelined. Carlo Ancelotti had so such luxury of rotating as his side edged Montpellier 1-0 on Friday evening, with substitute Kevin Gameiro netting the winner.

Laura Gilroy writes: "Beckham starting for PSG proves that he should still be in the England Squad. His passing will destroy Mascherano, 2-1 predict."

Albert Oliver writes: "Messi will score a hat trick 1-3 to Barcelona."

PSG: Sirigu; Jallet, Alex, Thiago Silva, Maxwell; Lucas Moura, Beckham, Matuidi, Pastore; Lavezzi, Ibrahimovic.

Barcelona: Valdes, Alves, Mascherano, Pique, Alba; Busquets, Iniesta, Xavi; Villa, Messi, Alexis.

No better way to start than with the team news, and there is one name that stands out - David Beckham. He starts for PSG tonight! Here is how both teams start...
