Live: Newcastle 1 Benfica 1 (Agg: 1-3)

FULL-TIME: It's all over at St James' Park and Newcastle crash out after a 1-1 draw on the night as Benfica go through 4-2 on aggregate. Salvio's late goal cancelled out Papiss Cisse's opener for Newcastle to send the Portuguese side into the semi-finals.

Jardel comes on for goalscorer Salvio as Benfica bring on a central defender for the striker.

GOAL: Benfica have scored as Salvio scores from Rodrigo's cross to end Newcastle's dreams.

Cabaye fires in the free-kick and it bounces into the ground before Artur saves smartly.

There will be four minutes of added time at the end of the 90 minutes.

Chance for Newcastle as Marveaux is brought down by Almeida who is a lucky to escape a sending off as he was already on a booking.

Play switches straight up to the other end as Ben Arfa beats his man to work his way into the box, but he drives his shot over the top.

Crucial save from Krul to deny Gaitan after Rodrigo picked him out unmarked inside the box.

Benfica win a corner to eat up some more time and take some wind out of Newcastle's sails.

Benfica make another change as Ola John is replaced by Rodrigo.

Chance for Newcastle as the ball deflects up into the air from Ben Arfa's shot and Cisse gets on the end of it, but under pressure from Artur he cannot direct his effort on target. The keeper was caught by Cisse and he is in need of treatment.

Newcastle win a corner as they search for a second goal, but Garay rises highest to head the ball away.

Benfica make a reaction to the goal as Oscar Cardozo comes on for Lima.

GOAL: Newcastle make the breakthrough as Ben Arfa capitalises on a mistake by Matic to find Ameobi who picks out Cisse in front of goal who heads the ball home to send the home fans into raptures. GAME ON!

20 minutes left and time is running out for Newcastle to rescue this tie.

Cabaye is booked for a bad foul on Almeida. The Newcastle players are not happy that Almeida is still down and wasting time in their eyes.

Newcastle make their third and final change as Marveaux comes on for Haidara with Gutierrez moving to left-back.

Cabaye's free-kick is a real waste as it goes straight into Artur's arms. Newcastle need better delivery than that.

Andre Almeida is booked for handball and that means he will miss the first-leg of the semi-final if Benfica make it through.

Anita's pass towards Cisse is poor and runs through to Artur.

RESTART: Newcastle get the second half underway.

The referee brings the first half to a close and it remains 0-0 at St James' Park. Newcastle have struggled to make any inroads so far with Benfica having the better of the game up to now.

Bit of pressure from the home side at last, but the final pass is poor and Artur is able to collect.

Sissoko picks out Bigirimana on the edge of the box, but the midfielder fails to connect properly with his left-footed shot and it runs through to Artur.

Gutierrez is somewhat lucky to escape a booking for a late lunge on Gaitan.

Perez fires in a shot from the edge of the area which Krul gathers at the second attempt.

Disappointing to see Salvio call for a booking for Haidara after he pulled him back.

Benfica go close as John gets down the left and picks out a cross to the far post where Salvio heads just wide. The visitors have created the only real goalscoring chances so far.

Real disappointing cross from Cabaye just when Newcastle had some bodies in the box, but he overhits it straight out of play.

Sissoko is back into the action after receiving treatment on his knock.

Artur follows his team-mate Perez into the book for dissent.

Perez is booked for dissent meaning he will miss the first leg of the semi-final if Benfica progress.

Real let-off for Newcastle as Krul makes a mess of collecting a ball inside his box and the ball drops to Lima who picks out Gaitan and he sees his shot cleared off the line by Haidara.

Newcastle fans getting a little restless as the home side are standing off the Benfica players.

Garay and Cisse are both in need of treatment after a heavy challenge from Cisse on the defender.

Bigirimana's deep cross from the right finds Cisse inside the box, but the striker is adjudged to be offside.
