Michael Ngoo, also on loan at Tynecastle from Liverpool, is struggling as the striker tries to overcome the shoulder problem which forced him off during the 1-0 victory at Kilmarnock last week.

Hearts boss Gary Locke could bring in 16-year-old defender Jordan McGhee to give him some experience now that the team's top flight status is secured.

New Dundee manager John Brown hinted goalkeeper Rab Douglas has probably played his last game for the club ahead of the match with Hearts.

Douglas has not been at the club in recent weeks, and on loan stopper Steve Simonsen will continue between the sticks.

The Dark Blues, who must beat the Jambos to avoid relegation, are also without long-term absentees Stephen O'Donnell (knee) and Jamie McCluskey (Achilles).
