All Sunderland now but Johnson has gone down with what looks like cramp.

Rose hit's the post. Super little run along the area and Begovic looked beaten.

Adam takes it again but Mignolet does well. Cleared.

Di Canio almost on the pitch. He thinks his side can do it. Stoke have the ball though and it deflects out for a Stoke corner.

Oren has been in touch (@FootballMcD): "I think 2-1 Stoke I'm a Newcastle fan from tonbridge Adam to Snatch 90min Goal"

Time for a brief rest. Jerome flagged offside.

What a twenty minutes we are in for. Let me know what you think. Send a Tweet to @FootballMcD.

Back up and running. Walters looks a little like Terry Butcher at the moment. Heavily bandaged on the head department.

Sunderland look more likely now. Di Canio was even on the pitch for a moment while there was a stoppage.

They can't with ten men, can they? No more than Sunderland deserve.

O'Shea stabs home Larsson's corner. What a response from ten men.

Strange clearance by Huth but it's a Sunderland throw.

At the other end N'Zonzi has a go from distance but it's well saved by Mignolet.

Excellent by Adam again. A good interchange with Jerome but the striker can't finish.

Stoke letting Sunderland have it and sitting with two banks of four.

Adam wide to Walters back to Adam but he can't connect from 18 yards and Sunderland escape.

And then Walters kicks it out...

Stoke have never won at Sunderland in the Premier League and with the extra man they are keeping the ball quite well.

McClean attempts to get on O'Shea's ball but Stoke defend well again.

Begovic has it and looks long for Walters. He can only head it out of play.

Adam tries to hit back at the other end but Sunderland pile forward again.

Sub during the break for Stoke. Cameron comes on for Wilson.

Graham has a half chance straight away but it's cleared by Shotton. Larsson then has a go. Corner to Sunderland.

We are off and running again in the second half...

Colback makes a run down the right but he can't latch onto Johnson's ball. Goal kick.

N'Zonzi for a late tackle on N'Diaye.

Stoke happy to play the ball out from the back more now. Far easier with the extra man. Di Canio looks concerned on the touchline. Walters has a chance but it's blocked.

McClean on the right this time seeing plenty of the ball but his delivery doesn't beat the first man and Stoke break through Walters.

Stoke looking for Jerome over the top again but this time the ball runs through to Mignolet.

Impressive even before the red card from Stoke. Johnson this time unable to force a way through.

Real test of character for Sunderland now. They are trying to press through Graham this time but Stoke City have plenty of men behind the ball.

Stoppage in play as a supporter is on the pitch.

For Larsson and earlier for Whitehead. Card crazy!

Straight red for Gardner. Looked like a lunge on Adam. He will miss the remainder of the season.

Cuellar booked for a late challenge on Jerome.

Rose looks a good bet for Sunderland going forward. He tries to get into the box buy N'Zonzi tracks him well.

Graham looking very isolated at times for the home side. Needs more support.

Credit to McClean though he still wants the ball and when he feeds Gardner his cross is headed away. Good spell from Sunderland.

Adam fouls McClean and is now on his last warning. A yellow card next time.

Sunderland having plenty of the ball 30 or so yards from the Stoke 'keeper but look very short of ideas thus far.

Groans from the Sunderland fans as McClean tries an ambitious shot from 30 yards.

Mignolet claims the resulting ball into the box from Adam. More urgency required in front of him though.

Jerome this time does well down the right and he wins another throw for Stoke City.

Johnson again tries his luck from range but it wasn't troubling Begovic.

Another Stoke corner. This time by Whitehead. Can they score again? Not this time. Mignolet claims well.

You can get involved like Niall as well. Tweet @FootballMcD with your thoughts on the game through the evening.

Niall has been in touch already. He said: "Hoping for a similar result for Sunderland as last Monday to help Wigan's customary escape"

We all know what happened last time Sunderland played a Premier League game on a Monday evening. They were hammered by Aston Villa. Should be a cracker tonight. Stoke probably need a point to secure their status as a Premier League side while Sunderland will want all three as they look to climb away from the relegation trapdoor.

You can get involved this evening too. Send a Tweet to @FootballMcD and I will try to get as many comments on as possible.

If you fancy a flutter on tonight's game why not head over to Sky Bet. They have Danny Graham at 6/1 to score first http://www.skybet.com/football/premier-league/event/15159475
