Final seconds at the Madejski and City are easing their way over the line. Silva slides a pass in between the Reading centre-halves, but Tevez isn't on his wavelength.
Tevez so close to making it three. He plays a neat one-two with Dzeko and cuts across the box. He looks to fire into the corner, but is denied by McCarthy. Corner played short, but Milner can't find a cross or a shot and then concedes a free-kick.
Two minutes of stoppage-time to be played.
Dzeko unable to run away from Karacan. Reading still looking to play football. Guthrie tries to feed a pass into the feet of Blackman, but too much on the ball.
Harsh on Reading given how they have defended, but City have threatened to run away with this tie at times. They have deserved all three points.

Milner drifting further inside, as Maicon offers width outside him. Reading battling away bravely in midfield. They are forced backwards, with Clichy winning a corner of Mariappa.
Reading looking to finish with a flourish. They have started to ask a few more questions in the second half. They have to be awake at the back, though, as Tevez drives into box. Toure ends up slicing into the stands.

McCarthy forced into another save at the end of a flowing City move. A powerful 20-yard shot from Toure is touched over the top. Milner delivers from the set-piece towards Richards, but he can't direct the ball back across goal. Milner tries again, and allows Richards to send an acrobatic volley wide of the target.
Gunter well forward once more, but he goes square. Reading make a mess of things in midfield. Gunter could have thrown the ball into the box. The Royals need to pose more problems in areas like that.
Silva drifts to the right, before bursting towards the box. He slides a pass into Dzeko. He opts against a first-time cross, checking onto his left foot. His final shot has the sting taken out of it and McCarthy can dive on the ball.
Blackman involved right away and wins Reading their first corner of the night. Lively start. Guthrie delivers, but fires far too long. The ball ends up back with him and he skips inside Clichy. He dinks onto the head of Mariappa, who nods at Hart from 10 yards out.
The second change arrives for Reading. Skipper McAnuff, who has been quiet, is replaced by Blackman. Attacking switch by Adkins.
McAnuff finds space down the middle. He goes left to McCleary. His cross to the back post is nodded up in the air by Clichy, allowing Hart to step off his line and pluck the ball out of the air.
Flag up against Tevez. He is desperate to put an end to his barren run without a goal. Adkins preparing another switch on the sidelines. He has to start going for broke.
Richards forced back to Hart. Le Fondre will do more running up top for Reading than Pogrebnyak did. He does, however, still require support if he is to make a difference.

McCarthy looks to help Reading out from the back, but Gunter immediately goes long and the ball ends up with Hart. He slices wildly out of play, but got plenty of distance on his clearance.

City get the second half under way. No changes at the interval by either side.
Players back out for the second half, with Reading the first to emerge. Can they find a route back into the game, or will City continue to control matters?
Robin J says: "Man City seem to have upped their game now Mancini is out."
Matt Stafford says: "Absolutely gutted with Man City's decision to fire Mancini, really short-sighted of the board. I think most City fans were really happy about the direction the club going and the way Mubarak was handling things, but this decision was really bad. The person that really should have been fired is Brian Marwood who failed to bring in the transfers Mancini requested. It's his fault more than anyone else and whilst they're calling him a taxi they should get one for Txiki Begiristain too."
Apple Walsh says: "City dominated that first half and should win, gutted to see Mancini go."
Remember you can also bet in-play at Skybet.com. Reading are now 20/1 to take the spoils, with City 1/8 and the draw 6/1. You can get 9/2 on City to run out 3-0 winners.

Lescott back to Hart, who is another facing up to a long evening. He rolls the ball out to Kolo Toure, who goes down with no-one near him. Not a good sign. Looks like he has tweaked a muscle.
Morrison cuts out a Barry pass intended for Aguero. McAnuff runs Reading over halfway, but he is caught by Barry and has his pocket picked. City playing across their midfield, before Pogrebnyak bundles Yaya Toure to the turf. Free-kick to City.
McCleary floats a cross towards Pogrebnyak at the back post. Clichy wins their aerial battle. City can't clear initially, but then wina throw.
Richards has suffered a blow to the nose. He is now sporting two fetching bunches of cotton wool up his nostrils. Back under way and Barry is almost caught in possession by McCleary. City happy to go backwards to go forwards.

Reading get us up and running.
Pre-match formalities out of the way and we are almost ready for the off. Horrible conditions - with wind and rain - hopefully that hasn't set the tone for what is to come!
Brian Kidd already in his seat. Players in the tunnel, so we will have to leave the feedback there for now and turn our attention to the game. There will be further opportunities to have your say at half-time and at the final whistle.
Dylan Murphy Pegg is the latest to offer support to the departed Mancini. He says: "I think it's a bit harsh that Mancini got the sack. The FA Cup was disappointing, though I thought Wigan played really well! I don't think it was his fault that they didn't win the FA Cup it was a brilliant performance from Wigan!"
Adam Le Fondre picking up a Player of the Year award. He's fared admirably this season - his first in the Premier League.

Just over 20 minutes until kick-off at the Madejski. Keep your thoughts on the game, Mancini and anything else coming to Chris.Burton@bskyb.com or @SkySportsChrisB.
Marvin Strong is the latest to question the logic of the City board. He says: "What a poor decision from the board to sack Mancini. Speculation over his future surely distracted everyone's focus on the FA Cup final, 2nd in the league behind the greatest manager of them all, a poor affair in the Champions League but in the strongest group I've ever seen, admittedly we should beat Ajax. Now we look like we're gonna bring in a manager with no Premiership experience. Managers should be treated with much more respect and given time. One trophyless season is hardly a disaster. Just look at Wenger!! Maybe you should only be able to sack managers within the transfer windows."
Jack Dolan sees the hosts getting something tonight. He says: "Think Reading might snatch a draw tonight if City don't turn up again, with Nasri to coming on to score a late one."
Holly Savage is another disappointed Blue. She says: "Absolutely gutted that Mancini has been sacked, after everything he has done for us, he's going to be missed a lot. Despite him being sacked, we have to march on regardless, I can see City bouncing back after the FA Cup final defeat and be back on track. I'm going with 2-0 with Aguero and Silva on the score sheet. Let's do this for Mancini, come on City!"
Brian Kidd currently out on the field putting down training cones. He may be in charge of City tonight, but he is very much in coaching mode. He will be hammering home the need for City to put in a positive performance, to help gloss over some of the mess.
On the team selections, Reading are unchanged and City have made four alterations to the side which lost the FA Cup final to Wigan on Saturday. Still a very strong visiting XI, but will their eye have been taken off the ball?
Simon Rigby is one of those City supporters less than impressed by recent goings on at the Etihad. He says: "City fan all my life - seen ups and downs from relegation to Division Two, Paul Dickov's injury time equaliser in 1999 to us winning the Premier League. Look how much we've progressed since United won the treble in 1999. Have had the best memories from Mancini's reign. Sad day and embarrassing for the club. We want stability and not to be another Chelsea. CTID."
Chris Green thinks Reading can pile more misery on City. He says: "If Reading perform to their potential and get the backing from their fans, I think they can shock us all this evening and beat the former Premier League champions. Any team can beat Man City when they aren't at their best, so Reading will have a chance this evening of pulling off a shock, but for this to happen, they must not allow Man City to dominate the match; otherwise, their dreams will be over before they've even begun."
Tonight's referee is Martin Atkinson.
